      I had a water line burst on the back of my refrigerator on Easter night, 3/31/2024 which ended up flooding my finished basement. I was referred to DRS (*******************) in Trafford from a friend of mine. I called them at 6:30am on 4/1/2024, when I found the water spraying from the back of my refrigerator. DRS was at my home that day to remove the carpet and drywall in my basement. My issue is, they never covered any of my belongings in the basement to protect them from the dust of cutting out the drywall. The leak occurred behind my refrigerator and water was spraying for at least 7 hours that we know of. They never removed any of the drywall behind my refrigerator nor did they place a fan in my kitchen to dry out the water. They put a dehumidifier in my kitchen, which worked for 1 hour on day 1, then an error code popped up on the machine and it shut off. Day 2 rolls around and they bring another dehumidifier, which ended up leaking in my kitchen, so I had to turn it off. Day 3, they bring another dehumidifier but by that time the damage was already done, 3 days and I still have water in the drywall (reading at 25%), that is when I asked them to pack up their belongings and leave so I could hire another company to come in. I showed them the baseboard that I personally removed from behind my refrigerator that had black mold on it. When I questioned the 2 guys who were doing the work why they were not addressing the issue behind my refrigerator, I was told they only do what their boss tells them to do. Even after I showed them the baseboard with mold, they told me it should be fine and not to worry about it?? It has been 8 days now and I have called DRS several times for my invoice and every time I call, I am told its not ready yet. I want to pay them and never have to deal with them again. I now have a company coming out this week who specializes in mold removal.

      ******************* is correct that there were a few issues with the dehumidifier. We attempted to correct these however the second attempt had a separate issue. We will not invoice anything for this dehumidifier. When I initially inspected the loss I informed the customer that I did not have my moisture meter with me due to fact I had literally just returned from vacation that morning and had not had time to get to the office yet. .When our e technicians got to the house they checked for moisture in the basement and advised to remove more drywall than was originally scheduled. They then were given authorization to remove this drywall. In the proc as they did get some dust on the furniture, we sent a cleaning team to the residence the next day to perform cleaning services. The technician did not advise that he thought it was necessary to remove the drywall behind the refrigerator or he would have been given permission. We set up equipment in the game room and kitchen. We've already responded about the dehumidifier in the kitchen. The area affected behind the refrigerator is approximately 3' x 2' area of ceramic and drywall. As stated I did not have the proper equipment to check for moisture so I deferred to **************. Our techs are instructed to call if they feel there is a need for additional service, in fact they did the same regarding the gameroom ceiling.I advised during the initial inspection that it sometimes takes a little time for water damage to fully manifest and there may end up being additional damage in that area.As for the invoice, our subcontractors invoice us on a monthly basis , we do not bother them for anything more because they are busy in the field. We advised last week that we would present our invoice as soon as we had all the necessary paperwork/We seldom have customers who are this anxious to pay.

      DRS came to my house after a broken water heater, it was after hours and I they responded in a timely manner. A big guy named *** was very courteous and did everything he could to rectify the situation at the moment. I would recommend them with any disaster that *** arise.
