    Major whole-house work started under the direction on my ** who has a longstanding relationship with FE Johanssen. But I was to pay the company directly. Work happened in fits and starts. Two items were never completed (overflow on tub, vanity connection) despite multiple requests from me to finish the job.But the biggest issue is that neither the ** nor FE Johanssen pulled permits. I subsequently requested the permit be pulled retroactively at the request of the building inspector. It is now approaching 2 months - with me leaving repeated messages and having multiple conversations with company representatives - that this company has 100% failed to make any effort to fulfill the required permitting.

    To whom this may concern,

    In response to Complaint lD #21909387. F.E. Johanssen & Sons, Inc. was contacted by the
    general contractor to look at the property at 7622 Westmoreland Avenue, Pgh, PA 152181'or work
    needed to be completed due to a problem with the original person who started the project. We
    were advised by the general contractor and owner that there would not be any permits needed.
    Customer was also not charged for any permits. We are willing to file for permits as desired, but
    customer will be responsible for the cost of the Allegheny County permits, for plumbing only. We
    willing to look at the overflow on the tub and the vanity connection to see if it was our problem or
    not. lf it turns out to be our problem, we are willing to complete, as necessary.

    Note: I have had no direct contact with the owner, as I was off work and in the ICU for weeks, and off
    work for several months due to a severe brain injury. Furthermore, we cannot force or make the
    general contractor file for permits"
