Hussian College has canceled programs and forcibly withdrawn all of its VFX students with seemingly no intention to refund or drop student loans, despite explicitly stating within their student catalog that they will provide full refunds if the college were to cancel a program. Here's my experience so far: I intended to enroll for CGSpectrum's Game Design program, and through their partnership was funneled into Hussian College. Not only has Hussian been dishonest with their school's finances and future plans for students, they also charged over 3x the price of CGSpectrum's original program cost. As of 6/17/23, a game design class of 12 months from CGSpectrum ending with a certification is $7,999.00. As of 3/29/2023, a game design class of 16 months from Hussian College Powered by CGSpectrum ending with a diploma was $26,664.00. As someone who stated that they were not interested in student loans and would pay cash, I take issue with Hussian presenting CGSpectrum's course and Hussian's partnered course being the same despite the massive price difference. While I was enrolled, I quite enjoyed the curriculum thanks to CGSpectrum and a good mentor. I was on the 9th week of my first term when I received an email on Memorial Day evening from the new CEO, Joshua Figuli. He enacted an unplanned 2 week break for all students of Hussian College. For the next two weeks I called, texted, and emailed staff, trying to get more information about when classes would start back up. I received no response to these questions. On June 9th, 3 days before classes were supposed to resume, I was sent an email requesting what would have made my sum total of payments half of the full tuition, even though I had not made it even 1/4 of the way through their course. Two days later, I received an email notifying VFX students of the program closure. Two days later we were forcibly withdrawn. I have called and emailed staff requesting the refund they promised. They are unlikely to ever respond.

This school is a total scam. My online classes would not work to be able to learn and complete assignments. Their solution was to delete those classes. When I asked what happens when I need those credits the VP of academics just shrugged and said “I don’t know.” The credits I did get are mot recognized to be able to transfer. I withdrew, they are still billing me and now a ruining my credit. I cannot seem to get anyone to help me with this. They got me for several thousands and I have nothing to show for it.

My son was awarded scholarships in 2021. We saw the initial awards applied in his 1st semester. Nothing after that. The school is also with holding the parent plus refund checks. Some students already had to withdraw from program because those refund checks were for housing expenses.
