Called *** McNabb Plumbing Company ("WJM"") for water on floor near water heater, and AC/furnace. Diagnosed problem as water heater leak-recommneded replacement. Replaced water heater (regular business hours, not on a Saturday ($1,069)). Water continued to appear on floor near water heater, and AC/furnace in exactly the same place as when I originaly contacted them. Called again; replaced half inch prv, set pressure to 65 ($461.). WJM technician said that water heater never needed replaced (he later denied saying this). Water continued to appear on floor near water heater, and AC/furnace in exactly the same place as when I originally called them. Another WJM technician said the problem was a heating and cooling issue and provided the name/telephone # for heating and cooling company. Called this heating and cooling company who diagnosed cause for water leak near water heater/ and AC/furnace as humidifier pad needed replaced and hose not pushed far enough into fitting at top of pad housing-they replaced pad set at 30 degrees-operation normal ($126.00). I contacted WJM and told them this-they refused to refund money paid ($1,069 plus $461) nor any portion of it for a water heater that never needed replaced. During that same telephone conversation with WJM I told them that the heating and cooling company said the water heater was never the problem, WJM contacted the heating and cooling company and had them change their story to state that the water leak was caused by the water heater (owner of WJM and the heating and cooling company are friends). As an aside, I have dated pictures/ documenation to back up my statements-I discussed with legal counsel but was adviised that it would cost more to litigate than this is worth. WJM is incompetent, and crooked-I may not be able to get my money back-I will however, continue to share this on various social media and word of mouth especially in the neighborhoods where WJM does business.

We were called to consumer's home to check for a water heater leak. When ************** arrived, he did find that the water heater was defective as it had water in the base. Tech also determined the tank was placed by another company and was asked by consumer to replace. Tech went out of his way to replace water heater by returning to supply house and replacing with a new water heater. Our tech returned the next day and found consumer's water pressure was too high and a new pressure reducing valve was needed. Tech's cannot lie about water pressure as the gauge shows when pressure is out of range, which could cause leaks. Both invoices were for work and materials supplied by us, within our guidelines for replacement due to our experience of parts being defective and not functioning properly. We did return two more times, and determined that the humidifier was leaking and that consumer should call a heating and cooling company. We did not charge for those two calls. Consumer called the owner of McNabb Plumbing and demanded her money back as she thought her leak was not from the water heater originally. The owner/president explained that yes, the water heater was bad, and the pressure was too high, meaning the pressure reducing valve needed replaced. President stated that he would pay for the heating and cooling invoice, in case one of our techs bumped the condensing pipe when installing the new water heater. Consumer refused to accept the offer and demanded a full refund of both the brand new water heater and brand new pressure reducing valve. Both the water heater and pressure reducing valve were installed in good faith and with consumer's consent. McNabb Plumbing did perform and supplied the materials in new working condition. Both the water heater and pressure reducing valve were not functioning properly, and needed to be replaced in our professional plumbing opinion.
