1 starMy unit has been inaccessible for over a month now. The building has no power and I cant get an answer about when they expect to have the power restored. I need pictures that are in the climate controlled unit for my daughters upcoming wedding. I have called several times a week every week and I keep getting the run around. They said the goal was to have the power restored last week and that an email would be sent so that customers could inspect their units. Im frustrated that no one returns my calls and a resolution has not been given for getting the pictures I need from the unit. Very disappointing and I am concerned that items will be warped from the heat. I dont recommend using Cube Smart for your self storage. I asked what would happen if I was moving and needed my stuff from the unit. The response was its unsafe to go to the unit until the power is restored. I dont even understand why the power is out at this facility in the first place.Review fromIryna R

1 starI've been using CubeSmart in ************ to store my things after I moved from ***. Yesterday, I went to my storage unit and disgust doesn't even begin to describe the condition of it. There were HUGE SPIDERS everywhere! My unit was infested!! It was also covered in webs, there were COCKROACHES, I saw a packet of what looked like RAT POISONING (in my unit), and I kept hearing something that sounded like a snake or rat running around (luckily I didn't see one). When I called, the women I spoke with told me to file a claim with my homeowners insurance. Today, this dump called and REFUSED to have pest control come and they also refuse to reimburse me for the months I trusted these slumlords with my possessions. LOL NO sweetie, CubeSmart will pay for any damages and reimburse any fees or they will see me in court. I'm about to report this joke of business with the city and state so no one else has to endure the h*** I'm going through.Review fromTodd P

1 starWhile we understand that power outages happen. There is no reason that a storage facility should not have backup power and a way for RV and cars to leave there facility. This facility lost power and chained the gate closed with our RV inside. We missed grandkids birthday and had we know we would have gotten our rig out early but NO notice went out ahead of the storm letting us know what would happen in the event of a power outage for an extended period of time. We only got ONE email saying it would be closed during the storm. Even worse they didnt even send out updates of the ongoing issue. You had to drive to the facility to find out for your self. 1 starThe manager is not very transparent about the auction process. I was told that I had until a certain date, September 27th to pay on my storage. When I called the manager, stated that the unit had been sold and that whoever paid first was who it would belong to. My daughter was on her way and the manager called and told me that the unit had been paid for. I asked to speak to the person or persons that bought the unit and she said they paid for it and put the lock on it and they are gone. First of all, I was told that I couldn't make the payment online, that I had to come in person. I just happened to call the automated system and it was saying I could make a payment. When I mentioned it to her, Mrs. ***** she then said I could pay online or in person. I'm not happy about the fact that this could've been taken care of before now, by me paying online. There was no explanation as far as how the process goes for selling my unit. I was given a date to pay by and that's what I was attempting to do and then it gets sold when I let her know that my daughter was on her way. Better yet, I could've paid online. I have had my belongings moved from a POD to ***** and to Cubesmart. Cubesmart was by far the WORSE ************* cameras where F is located. It smells like urine when you first walk in and the air isn't as cool as it should be, to be climate controlled.Review fromMoses V

1 starHow do you own a storage facility and only put cameras in certain areas there's no night patrol or any type of security person patrolling the storage facilities when they are closed at night, and they are getting broken into at night in the areas where they no cameras. what was told the owners refuse to put in additional cameras.. is it an inside job to where they don't want cameras or what but people are losing merchandise personal merchandise in these places I have lost a few thousand dollars worth of stuff in an area that they told me was a secure area and it was not something needs to be done about this business to my understanding they should have some type of security system or some type of patrol officers patrolling the facility while they are closed to protect customers property I think this should be a lawsuit of some kind I'm pretty sure if you were still going to investigate get the names of the people lockers that has been broken into this thing can turn into a class action lawsuit against cube Smart storageReview fromKelsey S

1 starA Scam. I am greatly disappointed and frustrated at the corporate customer service of this company. My boyfriend and I reserved a unit on June 24th under the 4th of July Sale (sign on fee, first month free then 40% off) We were sent an email confirmation stating the total price at time of move in - by July 20th. We deliberately asked if the promo would be held until we needed the unit and were assured that it would as long as we signed the lease prior to July 20th (The end of our reservation timeframe). We went in to sign on July 16th and were told that the promo had expired despite having email confirmation. Not only that but they had increased the prices as well. We went from needing to pay $30 to $250 for one month of access. Along with this it was too short notice to change location as we needed to move into the unit in a few days. It would have been cheaper had we paid for the two months under the promo than one month of what we did pay but once again we were assured signing under the reservation period would allow us the promo price. Despite this, corporate has not honored what we were promised. I have been trying to get a refund for the last 2 weeks and so far we have not been called back, and the only people who tried to assist us were the online agents and the Store Manager. I would like to point out that the agents were as helpful as they could be but it was out of their hands, and the current **** Store manager also did all she could with the mess she was left with. This was a Corporate issue with not honoring not only the email confirmation of the reserved unit but also what was displayed on the website for the promo.Review fromAJ M

1 starIts currently 9am and theres no one to be seen in their office at the ***************************************************************. It would be nice if they could possibly open at the stated time that displays on their ****** business profile. When dealing with peoples personal property and livelihoods its always best to possibly practice being honest and doing what you say or is stated you will do.
