I entered into a contract with this company in April of 2021. I have paid this company over $7,000 in exchange for services stated in my contract. Terms of termination are listed in section 5 of my contract. On January 23, 2023 a letter was mailed via certified mail to the address in my contract with a 17 day notice wishing to terminate my contract. On February 2nd a request for payment was made, at that time the individual was made aware of a letter wishing to terminate my contract. After being told there was a new address. On February 3rd, 2023 a new letter was mailed to the new address. On February 14th, the owner reached out following up on the status of my termination letter. I provided the individual with a photo of the certified mail receipt which reflected the tracking number, the address provided. I personally contacted the post office and was told that it is at the post office available for pick up but the individual has not yet come to pick it up. After making the individual aware, she argued that she never got the letter and that it was not at the post office although tracking information showed its at the post office. At this point after making the individual aware that I have no control of her mail once its sent out, she proceeded to tell me that I would be receiving a notice indicating that "I am knowingly canceling your contact not in accordance to the contract which does not release of the responsibilities in the contract." I let the individual know that, that is NOT what I am doing, and what she is doing is unethical and I would seek an attorney. This individual refused to accept my termination letter and proceeded to terminate my contract because of my claims of her being unethical and threatening legal action. I have lost 2 years of my life doing my practicum through this company and lost $7,000.00 because this individual refused to accept my letter and in tern is accusing me of legal action and states this is why she is canceling my contract.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/23/2023

I did reach out to the post office and they told me they could not help me as they did not have said letter. I did explain this to ******* and she started claiming I was an unethical person and company. If we are unethical then she should not want to continue with our services. As far as her claiming she is out all that money that is not the case. She simply has to send the verification form to us for us to solidify the hours that she has completed which is her responsibility as a supervisee. I have not had communication with her since she told me I would be hearing from her lawyer. So I would be happy to verify the hours properly completed once the form is sent to me.
