I have paid my bill with this LocalStorage. They continue to send me outstanding invoices. When I try to contact them in any fashion there is never a response just a new bill sent out. I have proof I paid the original amount and its attached to this complaint. I'm beginning to wonder if this company is running a scam. I need access returned to my unit so I can retrieve my things. I am no longer doing business with them. Sad, because I've been a customer of theirs for years.

The Local Storage Group purchased the storage units we were renting, which were previously owned by a local business owner, (which is why we chose the units). The new owners are a typical terrible company, with all sorts of ways to keep your money, written into a contract they know you won't read, because they send out an email, claiming "nothing changes, everything is the same" when they take over. But it isn't. We were renting 4 units. We vacated one on the first of August. But they take the money from you account before the first? So then you have to hassle with them to get your money back, but they finally refunded. We vacated a 2nd unit on the 1st of October. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE OUR MONEY BACK, because they had already taken it out of our account?? And gave some excuse that we need to give 5 days notice, OR THEY CAN KEEP AN ENTIRE MONTHS RENT? If we could afford that, we wouldn't have move out. Incredibly deceptive considering their claims to customers that "nothing changes". The previous owner was fantastic. You moved out, he prorated your refund for whenever that was. He was truly local storage. Avoid this place if you can. Just another greedy company looking for ways to take your money. There are several storages here owned by local families. Better way to spend your money.

Oakridge Storage sold their company and notified it's clients (me being one of them) on 3/21/23. Stating that the new company LocalStorage Group will be contacting me after the transition regarding payments and payment methods. At the time I have had my payments on autopay for quite some time and never had any issues or delinquency. 3/28/23 I received a welcome letter from LocalStorage Group and key info. 3/30/23 I received a new document to view and sign. 4/4/23 I signed and returned the document as requested. 4/10/23 I receive a "Collection Notice" stating I have a past due balance and I can contact them at ************. I called and never was able to reach an agent. Also on the collection notice it tells me I can go to their website to avoid further charges. The link to the website didn't work. I emailed them on 5/14/23 asking someone to call me back so I can get caught up. 5/20/23 Haley from LocalStorage Group replies "we will happily give you a call." 5/24/23 I email the company again and asked if I can stop by and make a payment, to which the response was they do not accept on site payments. 5/26/23 another collection email notification. 5/31/23 I emailed and expressed my frustation that the link doesn't work and unable to reach an agent. 6/01/23 I was told they are experiencing a very high call volume and be patient. Finally on 6/8/23 I speak to an agent and was told that their online portal in IVR are automatically disabled when you have a past due amount. So I had no way of making an online payment as previously indicated. The run around and the fact I have been unable to get into my unit for 3 months is unacceptable. They have called me but during normal business hours, while I am working and can't take personal calls. I have reached out via email and phone numerous times to bring my account current only to be ignored.
