Date of delivery was April 5, 2024 I was home all day PIT Express made a delivery.Did not ring the doorbell Did not call ahead Did not email when the delivery was going to be made and not even an estimated date of delivery. I had contacted ****** ironically on April 3 and 4th trying to get details when my delivery was going to be made because it said on the ****** site that it had been shipped on March 22, 2024. ****** had to get in contact with ******* Furniture, the maker of the bed, because they were responsible for the shipping. At 3pm on April 5th I get into my car in the garage to get my kids from the bus stop. I open my garage door and a 50 pound box, that was the headboard to the bed I purchase, slams onto the back bumper of my SUV causing damage. What if that was a child that this box fell on or someone's dog? If would have caused serious injury.I tried to resolve with the company. They lied and said the driver tried calling before they came. I have no missed calls or messages on my phone. They will not share with me the picture from the driver of the way that they delivered the product. I know they have it because when I called the day it happened the rude woman who answered the phone told me that they had one.All 3 boxes totaled 130 pounds so I'm curious did they have all boxes leaning against each other? They denied my claim to fix the bumper of my car, estimated ~$1,000, but it is more than the denial at this point. My mind keeps going to this could have been so much worse. They should be reprimanded for not training their employees to properly place heavy items in a safe place to not put people or things in danger where it could fall on something or someone.
