My complaint is against Albert's Heating and Air Conditioning - P.O. Box 147 - 1329 Dewey Street - Conway, PA 15027 - 724-876-0100 - www.albertsheating.com - PA license 004962. A few days after the gas furnace was installed (2-21-2023) I complained of a noise (loud at times) happening prior to the furnace starting up - Over the course of the next 3-4 months 5-6 technicians came out to determine the cause of the noise - never resolving it and saying finally that they needed to contact the manufacturer for advice and solutions. I should note that at one time 2 technicians came out - I believe in April or May and replaced a solenoid but that did not correct the problem. Then in November a technician came out and after some time determined that the gas valve was the cause of the noise - He left and I thought he would return within a few days to fix the problem but I never heard from him again - So, after the holiday I called - I believe it was December 21 and the gentleman I spoke to say he was not familiar with this situation and would get back to me - I am still waiting to hear back - I should state that I googled gas furnace/gas valve/noise and up came 5-7 reason for the noise and solutions -- that's when I contacted the BBB -

I was sold a 13 seer ac system on 4/8/2023 and installed on the same day. After doing research and contacting other local ac companies I found out that 13 seer ac systems were no longer able to sold or installed on Jan 1,2023 due to not meeting the min energy efficiency ratings. I’m wondering how this company was able to get away with this and I would like a refund or and exchange for an ac system that meets the min seer rating as mandated by the federal government.

In response to *** ********* complaint, he purchased a 13 SEER system unit which under the Department of Energy guidelines is approved.  That unit is allowed to be installed in the north region after January 1st 2023.  Please see the attachment to this message.  He is claiming that this system is no longer allowed to be sold or installed after January 1st 2023.  That is incorrect information per the Department of Energy guidelines.  NOTE: After January 1st 2023, all manufacturers have to meet the minimum efficiency rating of 13.4 SEER.  All 13 SEER models in the north region can be 13 SEER if manufactured before 12/31/2022.  His unit was manufactured in 2022.  Serial number is ***********

In reference to his complaint, this system is in compliance with the Department of Energy standards.
