  This is my story about Matthews, I will say they were all friendly. I am writing to you today to ask for some type of inconvenience reimbursement. Your workers were very kind and professional throughout the whole ordeal and re-acted every time I called with an issue. I had to call your crew back out to look at an oil looking substance coming up from the cement and I was told it was nothing. So, after that I started to frame out my basement hoping to get it completed by early spring. The third time the crew came back there was water leaking from under the framing and I was told to take half the room down, they came back and dug up half the room and said it was fixed. So, I put the framing back up. After a week or so I still noticed some water spots in the basement and in the garage by the sum pump. The fourth time your crew came back and put epoxy on a spot and found out the pipe from the sump pump was leaking which they fixed. Like I said in the beginning the crews were always professional and came to look at the issues fast. Now I think I am good to go, no not the case, the next rain there's still water leaking from everywhere, so I was told to take down the framing again and they came back a fifth time dug it up from the start to finish and fixed it. I was told when it was dug up that the drainpipe was leaning away from the sump in the other direction and that's why I had so many problems. So here we are, 5 times and 2 months later to basically get my basement finished and a bunch of 2x4's torn apart from putting up and taking down. I would ask that under good faith you would reimburse me for the cost. It is listed below. 30 2x4 at 3.45 apiece totals $103.50 16 hours at 20 dollars an hour (paid handyman) 320 They rejected my request, I had another house and need a French drain, I used Champion with no issues.

  BBB gives this company an A+ rating? What a joke! Everyone needs to know what crooks these people are. We hired them to waterproof a basement room. Salesman advised us to paint walls after getting the system. First rain water pours through. I call and they said. You should have gotten a vapor barrier. We said that *** (their salesman)advised us against it stating that they are ugly and easily punctured and all we needed was the system and to paint. Their response He doesnt work here anymore. Well he represented them at the time!! Why does a waterproofing company offer an option that does not waterproof the room? So we paid over $3000 for the same situation we started with and now they are saying that we could have paid $600 when originally installed and it would have been waterproofed but now it will be over double that.  Horrible, horrible, unethical people that wont even try to make things right. BBB wont allow me to post the pictures of the streaked paint for some reason.

  They are a bunch of crooks I did not want to give them a star. But it makes you.They came out to our home and give us estimate for French drains and a sub pump. We signed it before they even left the house. Weeks go by, I have tried calling them to get them rolling. last week I was told by their customer ********************** representative. They are not doing any work on your house. I said, oh why not?***** said there are issues with your walls and foundation I said, Oh?!? That news to us She said I will have a manager or project manager call you back. I waited over a week. Not one call from a manager or project manager.They are not doing the job because they are concerned about the walls and the foundation. I understand there could be some problems. But they didnt come back out and confirm their concerns. They just ghosted us. I spoke with the project manager **** this morning who told me to go to another company. When I asked him what are my salutations here I need this done. Who tells a customer go find your salutation with another company. Because we are not going to do anythingI dont know how companies like this one can claim they are the salutation to all wall problems and can fixed any wall and foundation issues you have We guarantee it. But yet I apparently have issues they dont have time for or cant handled What a waste of time these people are

  Very bad experience with Matthews Wall Anchor . I feel if they kept the lines of communication open instead of avoiding me , this wouldnt be a one star . I hired them to waterproof my basement , on day one they knocked a foundation wall down .Moving forward from there you have thought I did something wrong . The general manager stopped answering my call s , never returned a few vm ,or text messages , the sales person ( sneaky guy ) tried removing himself from the situation too . The owner NEVER reached out to me . Eventually their insurance company kicked in , They refused to finish the waterproofing once the repair is complete . Had to hire a competitor . The finale was me chasing around my deposit refund after over 2 months had past from the initial start date and incident .Their higher ratings were from the previous owners , dont let the 36+ years in business fool you .
