We were moving just 50 miles away. We reserved a truck two weeks in advance, the day before the move we got a phone call from the person who works there and asked instead of a 16 foot truck would a ************** , excuse me but of course not when the day of the movie came to pick up our truck and they didnt have one available so we went with a different company because of the inconvenience. Four days later we were charged a no-show fee of $150 seems unfair considering budget did not have the vehicle we needed available And we showed up.. I reserved a Budget Truck a week in advance. When I came to the pickup location, the employees told me:- Your truck is NOT AVAILABLE, nor any other trucks - "Reservation does not guarantee availability." Several employees said this exact nonsense phrase, suggesting it's a company policy.- "This happens frequently." The attendant actually told me ******* attempt was made by the company to alert me ahead of time, although they sent me many email advertising their insurance.Considering the amount of damage this causes, Budget really needs to go out of business.Budget Truck Rental

Reservations are booked based on our expected availability, however when trucks are returned back late or returned damaged it can cause us to not have the availability we had expected. In these cases we will try to find a vehicle from another location, if we are not able to we would have to refer you to rent with a competitor. In the event you did rent with another self moving company and your rental costed more than your expected charges with us we are happy to review your completed receipt for possible reimbursement of up to $200.00 of the extra charges spent.

Reserved a rental moving truck to move 10mi across town. Was given a total estimate of $80 but ended up paying $210 when all was said and done. Tons of hidden fees, forced into purchasing insurance, etc. Reached out to customer service to request reimbursement but was denied. Incredibly unethical business practices, this should NOT be allowed to happen.Budget Truck Rental

We went to pick car up on 3/13 and the car wasn't even ready. Not only that the employee there, ******, was very very rude plus was very adamant on us showing him a bank statement just to prove that we were who we said we were.We returned the car on 3/15 in **********, *****. On 3/18 our banking account not debit card was hacked for nearly *******. I can't prove that somehow Budget was associated with this hack but they are the only ones we shared that banking statement with . We spent nearly 3 hours at our financial institution on Wednesday 3/19. My husband missed hours of work due to this..thank God he's self employed. I have sent emails to Budget concerning this matter as well as other things but no response. Even though their rates are really good I will definitely NOT do any business there again nor will I recommend them to anyone. Hard ****** learned. I hope this helps to change someone's mind when renting from Budget. I was definitely NOT a good experience at all.Budget Truck Rental

EZ Rental **********, Carrollton, Tx Budget truck rental horror show. The middle aged white guy who works in the office is a nut case, potentially dangerous. He was hostile the second we walked in (we are two women in our 50s). And his incredibly rude hard sell to upsell me on insurance that I didn't need was unbelievable. I told him I don't want/need anymore insurance (I already paid Budget $400 for insurance) and he snapped and said if I didn't cooperate he would cancel my reservation. I again said no. Then told me to get out, that my reservation was cancelled, that "it's [his] store and [he] can refuse service to anyone for any reason". I refused to leave the store, being that my movers were scheduled to arrive in 30 minutes. So he told me he was going to call the police (I told him to do it). Instead he stood behind me, rambling more nonsense and hostility loudly, while I tried to get Budget on the phone to help me. After 30 minutes and a call or two from Budget, and the calm negotiation by my friend, he let us rent the truck. This guy is unstable and potentially dangerous. Heaven forbid a customer as unstable as him goes into the store, as violence my erupt. I would avoid at all costs if I were you.Budget Truck Rental

I have been renting from Budget for over 10 years but I have to now say goodbye. I reserved the rental car at ****************** location in ********* to pickup on my lunch break on 3/14/2025 since it is so close to my work. However, I got a call from a representative a hour before my scheduled pickup. The representative said that they had sold out of the vehicle that I reserved which is ridiculous before I booked the vehicle days before my daughters bday trip to *******. The company completely shattered my plans for my daughters bday. To top it off the representative did not have any type of accountability for the actions and carried the attitude that I should just deal with them messing up my plans. Thank god for NextCar Rental because if it was not for them I would've wasted money on a hotel that was nonrefundable.Budget Truck Rental

1 starAt the return of the rental car the attendant stated that an e-receipt had been sent to my email address. I reviewed the receipt 2 days later after returning home. There was a fraudulent charge of $195 added to the billing for fuel service, even though the car was returned full of gas. After contacting customer support, I was told to provide the receipt for purchase of gas ( which I provided) and the charge will be refunded. I then left a bad review for Budget and was contacted by a supervisor who stated the $195 refund will be made. I still have not received the refund to my credit card. I am trying to write a review for **** Car Rental for ******************* Airport but always end up in Budget Truck Rental. It is the same company anyways.Based on this experience - **** is the worst car rental company. The check-in in SFO airport took more than an hour. Instead of booked mid size SUV we were given Dodge Hornet which is compact car and the trunk is too small for four carry-on luggage pieces making it very uncomfortable for four travelling people. The car was heavily scratched when we took it nothing major but multiple scratches on the body all over the car and small chips on the windshield. There was no windshield fluid in the car and we learned it hard way we were forced to stop on the side of a freeway and clean the windshield with drinking water. The car had other multiple small problems, but the biggest surprise came AFTER we have returned the car. The lady in the Rental Car Return has inspected the car and said that everything was fine, no problems. Nevertheless, in the airport terminal we have received a Damage Capture Report. The Report claimed that we have damaged the car but did not give any meaningful description of the damage. Two attached pictures were meaningless - the first one shows nothing, and the second one shows some scratches, but it is not clear which part of the car the picture is showing, and even if this was the car we have rented. This is clearly fraudulent practice from **** accept the car and then claim that we damaged it AFTER we have left the car in ***** possession and were far away. This deceiving action from **** will probably cost us several thousand dollars including Insurance deductible and Insurance premium increase even though we have not added a single scratch to the preexisting damages. After that we certainly will NOT rent any cars from **** and I will do my best to make sure that more people know about bad service and fraudulent practices from **** and rent cars from more decent companies.Budget Truck Rental
