Beware renting from Buget rent a car in *******, **. They will randomly steal money from your credit card years after youve rented from them!!We rented a car in Sept 2023 from Budget in **********. OVER a year later I got a letter in the mail claiming that we ran a toll booth and now we owed them over $50 for the toll and their fees. I figured it was a scam because my husband and I are rule followers and would never intentionally run a toll booth, but I know Kansas was converting their toll booths around the time we were there so I gave Budget the benefit of the doubt in case we missed one. I called the ************************* and they had no record of the vehicle we were driving running any tolls on the date provided. I then called Budget and talked to an employee who also advised that she couldnt find any record of it and she, and I, assumed I didnt need to worry about it because there was no record of the alleged toll violation. A month or so later I got another letter from them and I called again. This time I talked to a gal that acted like she was going to at least be somewhat helpful. She too couldnt find any records of it but she assured me she was going to follow up with her supervisor (who wasnt in) and they would call me back. I never received a call back. I called several more times and talked to several employees, including the supervisor ( I think his name was ****, maybe). They all said they would look into it and get back with me. The next time I heard anything was when budget randomly stole money from my credit card for this fee that I supposedly owed them but they couldnt provide proof of when asked. Again, BEWARE, and cancel your credit card if youve ever used one with budget rent a car in **********.Budget Rent-A-Car

Budget Confirmation Number: 17613262US2, I canceled my reservation on 2/6/2025 without even picking up the car. My credit card was charged $101.40. I have been contacting customer care 3 times (sent in ****** confirmation letter and credit card charge etc and received reference number T88505075 in the email on 2/21/2025) but still not seen refund returned to my credit card. I booked A car rental through budget and Prepaid $87.26. I accidentally returned the car to a destination that was 40 minutes away from the destination listed on the reservation And was charged a total of $440. Ive called customer service numerous times and requested to speak to a manager and was unsuccessful.I will never in my life book with budget again or recommend them to anyone!Budget Rent-A-Car

I would like everyone to be aware of Budget car rental even though I did not have a problem at the counter I had a problem with my final bill because I was told days later that I was being charged for an upgrade that was not discusses at the counter and was not on my final bill that I received from the *** at the counter. I'm planning to get my attorney involved at this point especially since that must have told my credit card company some type of lie just like they told me. My problem is not about the money it's about everyone within the company delivering the same information which would give customers a chance to say yes or no! I also plan to find out if anyone else had the same problem which could lead to a class action lawsuit.Budget Rent-A-Car

This was my 2nd car rental from Budget. I always went through a competitor for the last several years but figured Id try this company as the price was so much better as of late. My 1st and 2nd rental had the same problem right out of the gate: not enough customer service behind the counter. This location was offsite in ***************. On my 2nd rental after waiting too long to be helped I was assigned my car only to find no car in the space that was the furthest from the customer service desk. I had to walk back and then wait again to be assigned another car. At 9-9:30 in the morning when people are coming and going for early flights there should be more than 1 person helping. Got car and then waited in a line at least 5 deep as there was only one lane to get out of the lot, another ridiculous wait.On my returning the car around 8-:830 in the morning for my scheduled day for my flight I pulled up and waited for someone to help. No one came to check the car in and I could not wait any longer as there were 2 accidents that made me take longer to get to the airport then usual and I didnt want to miss my flight. As I walked to the shuttle I finally saw some employees and indicated that I was leaving the car and was told no problem as long as the keys were in it they would take care of it. I boarded the shuttle and made my flight.However thats not the end. A few days later I received the bill from Budget which was for a totally different price from what I booked for with no explanation except base price and taxes. It was $160 more. I called Budget and was told that I kept the car for 2 extra days and did not alert them which was an additional charge as well. I did not stay longer and I believe what happened is that they moved my car but didnt scan it in till 2 days later. I have had to show proof of my flight and they are reviewing it. The customer service *** that I spoke with was not very accommodating and had an attitude.Budget Rent-A-Car

Stay away from BUDGET RENTAL CAR..I rented from Budget *************** at ***************************** (MSY) and when I tell you that the customer service agent name ****** was so rude and disrespectful from to me as a paying customer it was ridiculous.. I ask her what was my total price for the vehicle and she answers me by saying What was the quote that was given to you.. I kindly explained to her I understand the quote but I also its a deposit correct thats why I was asking the priceshe then told me in a loud tone Ma do you want the Rental or Not cause you can rent from another company?? I ask her was she having a bad morning due to her tone and the way she was talking to me in such a loud voice and she continues to say Ma do you want to complete this transaction cause like I said you can rent from another company I ask her did she need to start the transaction over cause Im an adult just like she is and she will not be rude and disrespectful to me as a customer.. Im not sure why she ask me did I want to continue with the transaction when that when Budget have a 2.9 star rating with so many bad reviews They should be happy that they are getting any business.Budget Rent-A-Car

SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO EVEN GIVE 1 STAR, BUT NEED TO IN ORDER TO POST THIS REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am absolutely outraged by Budget Rent a Cars complete negligence when it comes to child safety. I reserved an infant car seat, but what I received was a rear-facing toddler seatwith no infant insert, no head support, and no proper paddingmaking it completely unsafe and unusable for my 10-month-old daughter.Because of Budgets failure, my daughterwho has never cried in a properly fitted car seatwas so uncomfortable that she cried uncontrollably until she vomited. The only reason we used the seat at all was out of absolute necessityto get to and from the airport. Beyond that, we were effectively stranded.Upon further investigation, I learned that this was not an isolated incident. ***************************** had been out of infant car seats for over a week before my rental, and rather than addressing the issue, Budget knowingly provided toddler seats and falsely passed them off as infant seatsputting countless infants at risk. When I returned to the airport to fix the issue, I was told that this is what Budget considers an infant seat simply because it faces the rear direction. This is beyond unacceptable and a blatant disregard for child safety.After reaching out to Budget on February 16, 2025, I received no response. It wasnt until I escalated the issue to the ************************* office that I finally got a replyweeks laterclaiming they werent given the opportunity to make things right, so they refused to do anything. Instead of taking responsibility for their dangerous negligence, they shifted the blame onto me as the customer.If this is *********************** version of the best they can do, then their best means putting infants in ***** way and leaving parents with no safe options. This companys disregard for safety is appalling, and I strongly urge families to think twice before renting from them.Budget Rent-A-Car

Budgets claim that they were unaware of my concern until the end of the rental is completely false. I picked up the car seat on the morning of February 8th and contacted Budgets customer service line within the hourat 10:21 AMafter realizing the car seat was falsely advertised. I then returned to the airport location shortly after, only to be told that the same type of seatclearly a toddler seat, not an infant seatwas all they had ************ wasnt until the end of the rental that I learned Budget had been knowingly passing off toddler seats as infant seats due to being sold out weeks prior. This is unacceptable, especially for families who depend on accurate and safe equipment for their infants.Its clear Budget is not conducting a full or honest investigation into this matter. Do not ever rent from Budget. I rented a vehicle at an airport. There was a problem with the vehicle, so I flagged someone down. He changed my retal to a vehicle behind me and helped me transfer my bags from one trunk to the other. This vehicle seemed ok, but it had a black ************* was after dark with poor parking lot lighting. I get to my destination and the next morning (in daylight) I noticed the vehicle had obviously never been cleaned before given to me. There was dust all over it, mats hadn't been vacuumed since last use & I found used coffee cups and old food wrappers under the seats. Of course I threw out the trash, but then I called Budget customer service. I told him of the condition (trash, dust, & mats) and them asked him if I would be charged for returning the vehicle dirty because I recieved it dirty. The customer service gentleman (from *****) told me not to worry & that no, it would be noted & I would not be charged. 2 weeks after I'm home, low & hehold I get a a letter in the mail from Budget who is niw charging me $250 for "sand on the mats". I called customer service again & was rudely told by another Indian customer service person that there was no record of me calling with a complaint of the vehicle condition and that the charges stand. She also stated she had no supervisor I could talk to & that there was no one else we could talk to about the issue. I will certainly be disputing this charge on my credit card, informing **** of **** issue (of whom I booked this through) & will he telling everyone I know never to rent from this company again.Budget Rent-A-Car
