      Totally unreliable. Don't return phone calls and we have been left hanging. So sad to have this awful experience when we are still grieving. Probably going to have to hire an attorney. Inexcusable

      My mother passed away 4/10/23. She had everything prepaid . Everything was allready there. All they had to do was engrave the date of her passing away. I called and told them and the girl said that technically they had 1 year to get a crew out there to install the engraving, i even called a few months ago and they told me that covid has them backed up... Covid was a few years ago so im thinking someone is full of B.S. It has been 1 year today and still no date!!

      Mr. B***** - We are very sorry that this took so long to complete however, it is completed as of now. We understand that this is seemingly a quick process, however that is not the case. With the engraving in the cemeteries, we are reliant on good weather; not too cold, not to hot and not raining or wet. Unfortunately, that gives us small windows to complete the engraving in the cemetery. This also takes a skilled individual and unfortunately, we’ve lost contractors in this profession. We truly are sorry for the time it took to get this finished for you.

      I purchased a headstone in Nov of 2022 and I still have not received the stone 9 months later. A mistake was made on the inscription and other delivery issues has ensued. Employees have not taken responsibility for fixing the issues or returned our calls. Horrible customer service fir a company that does one thing! Never use them.

      My mother passed away in January 2023. She already has a monument, we just need her date of death etched on her stone. We were told you have to prepay this, for which I did MONTHS ago and still no etching. We were first told they had to wait for warmer weather, which we have, wait for no wet weather, for which we have….we are now almost in August. This is unacceptable! I am not very happy! I need my Mother’s date of death etched on her stone! I also have an uncle and would like to buy him a monument BUT I don’t think I will use Dodd’s! Very very disappointed! I’ll share my experiences!

      Our family purchased and paid in full a headstone for my aunt K. Mitchell in March of 2022. At the time, we were told that it would be in around January 2023. After driving to the store in Xenia three different times because they did not communicate where it was in the process, we were finally told that it would be in place at the cemetery between June 22 to June 30, 2023. On July 6, we made trip number 4 to the business in Xenia, as it still had not been delivered. They did not give an acceptable answer as to why it wasn’t put in as promised, and we were told that someone would be talking to the manager that evening and giving us a call the next day with a solution. No call was ever received. As of today, July 8, 2023, the headstone still is not in place, and we have once again received no communication from this company. This is an unacceptable way of doing business. We regret our decision to purchase the headstone through them and will not be doing business again with them. Be warned and stay away.

      My father, H. Denver Howard, purchased two large headstones from Dodds Monuments back in 2015 and paid $8,385.89 in 2016 for each headstone, both of which were installed at Sugargrove Cemetery in Wilmington, Ohio. He got an Everlasting Warranty which included the engraving of all future death dates. My father passed away on September 9th of 2021. We were not surprised to find the date of death was not done by Christmas when we decorated, but we were extremely disappointed that it had not been completed by Memorial Day 2022, by Father’s Day, by his birthday and by the first anniversary of his death. I have been to your office several times and talked to numerous individuals and finally was told that his date of death would be added to his monument in 2 weeks, maybe sometime back in August. In visiting the cemetery today on October 30th, the work has still not been performed.

      Mr. H*****, I apologize the wait on this has been so long. I looked into the order and our engraver went to the cemetery to do this, but there was an issue with the stencil. This is not an excuse but an explanation. He re-cut the stencil and is planning on doing the date on Wed Nov 2nd. Once again, we are very sorry it has taken so long.       Contracted and sent a deposit to Dodd's well over a year ago for headstone marker. Headstone not in but the invoice for final payment was issued to us. That pretty much sums it!! An infinite number of excuses were offered throughout the year by their supervisor as well as the president of the company. Had no clue that all the deposit covers thus far are excuses. Integrity, good faith not in the realm of their business concept!!!
