This company was hired to install cabinet crown trim molding, and given a deposit of $180.00. The person they sent did not know how to install cabinet molding and my husband had to stop him from continuing to try, but not before he screwed 2×2 boards to the top of three of my cabinets. My cabinets are new and now I not only have holes in the top of the cabinets from the large screws the technician used, but he split one of my cabinet when he placed a screw to close to the edge. When I called the company all Diane did was try to deflect the issue back to us instead of taking responsibility for the damage that was done to my new cabinets by their employee. She was more concerned and upset about the tech telling me that she lived in Texas not Columbus ohio, and wanted to argue with me about how well she does her job! I provided four 8foot trim molding pieces and the technician damage two of the boards. The technician reimbursed me for the two damaged trim molding pieces, and House Doctor's refunded my deposit, but they are refusing to pay for the damage to my new cabinets. The job was supposed to take 2.5 hours to install trim molding to 7 cabinets, but after 2 hours their technicians had only put up one piece of molding, and we were being charged by the hour, so again my husband and I stopped the person from continuing any further, and at that time the technician himself stated that he didn't know what he was doing. I filled a complaint with House Doctors corporate office and was supposed to get a call back from someone that could help me, but I never did.

She admits we refunded her what she paid us, and reimbursed her for the damaged crown moulding.  She refused to let us come back out to assess the damage, which makes it hard to authorize any payment for damages when we can't verify the extent of the damage.  She also did not ask for anything specific related to the damage to her cabinet, so I have no idea what she wants.  She wasn't refused anything because she hasn't asked for anything specific, i.e. she hasn't given us a dollar amount, nor has she allowed us to return to inspect the damage.

Note: the primary issue here is she bought 4.5" crown moulding, rather than 2.5" cabinet moulding.  In order to install the crown moulding you have to install blocking above the cabinet so there's additional wood behind it to nail it to because it has a larger surface.  The overlap on the sides of the cabinet is necessary because the face of the cabinet overhangs the side.  Typically trim moulding is installed in this gap.  A typical cabinet moulding installation is attached, with the trim piece circled for clarity.  They don't understand what's necessary to do the installation, and as a result stopped the job because of their ignorance of what was needed to install crown moulding rather than cabinet moulding.

I hired House Doctors to install flooring baseboards door trims and transition strips. I was told it would be a 3 to 4 day project. After three weeks My Home was destroyed in the job was left undone. They sent someone to install my flooring who had no experience and the floors were installed improperly. They refused to pay for remedial work and are making false allegations against me online when I post reviews. I am out $14,000 and this is a very short version of what happened including sexual harassment. The pictures speak for themselves.
