    I had this company do work for me. Owner got mad when I gave additional work to another company because his quotes were twice the amount. He kept my money. I had to take him to court. He put a lein on my home before court. He lost in court. He was difficult to find His work address is a PO Box. Stay away from this person

    We hired this company to put in a deck and it was an absolutely nightmare. They we unprofessional, disrespectful, condescending and threatening. Construction mistakes: -poured footers in the wrong location -made the landing too short for stairs -cut posts for rails too short because of landing being too short -used nails to secure treads instead of screws -deck wobbles (we have to have someone else come secure it) -insecure posts for rails -stairs end on uneven ground (which he claims we okayed but that is untrue) -fascia board not attached to stringers (which he claims we okayed but that is untrue). -cigarette butts in our yard Some of the things they said to us were: “I wouldn’t want this sh*t on my house” (in front of our two year old. “I can only speak to your husband” “I didn’t want to come today!” “I hate composite decks” “I’ll laugh at you when I hang up” “Your perspective holds no weight over mine so I’m not going to discuss that with you” “You have deep rooted issues” “I don’t like you!” (X4) “I will take you to court” (so many times I lost track.) There is so much more I would like to say but there isn’t enough space so I’ll say this working with Matthew was honestly a nightmare, we have never come across someone so condescending and nasty. It’s obvious that he lacks the respect of his crew and is simply trying to assert his dominance in any other area he can. I cannot express how much I regret hiring him for our project. We spoke with a lawyer who said we have a case against them for breach of contract, shoddy craftsmanship and unreasonable delays; but please hear me when I say no amount of monetary reimbursement would be worth having to deal with Matthew for another second. If you do decide to work with this company I highly recommend having a lawyer on retainer and recording every conversation you have with Matthew because he simply cannot be trusted.
