****** Family Tree Company was contracted to remove a tree from my next door neighbors back yard in mid December. . While they were cutting the tree down they hoisted a rather large section onto a pulley to lower it. I was in the bedroom when I heard what I thought to be the tree limb hitting my house. The other person living with me was in the family room and saw the tree limb actually rubbing against the roof. The same company was out approximately 1 week later to trim a tree from my next door neighbors front yard. I contacted **** ****** at that time and explained to him what occurred the week prior. **** texted me with pictures his crew took on December 23, 2021 and stated that they didn't see any damage. Yes, his crew took pictures from the ground up and the damage could not be seen at that level. I then contacted a professional photographer who took pictures from a ladder looking down and you could clearly see the damage. On February 11, 2022, I emailed the professional photographs to **** ****** and he stated he could not see any damage. I didn't hear back at all from **** ****** so again I emailed him on March 8, 2002 I proceeded to send **** ****** an email stating that I am scheduling a roofing contractor to come out and give me and estimate to repair the shingles that were damaged. I also explained to him that I just had my roof inspected and tuned up in the Fall of 2021 at the rate of $279.00.**** ****** did text me to send him the bill which I never received since I was in the process on purchasing a new cell phone. I emailed again and again he emailed me to send him the bill.. Reliable Roofing did come out in May and estimated the repair at $410.00 which included their normal charge of $280.00 just to come out plus materials. Materials consist of purchasing 1 bundle of shingles to match the existing shingles as shingle are not sold separatley and underlayment.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: ****** is experienced in tree removal and tree trimming services not in roof repair services nor are his co-workers. On December 23, 2021, ****** did take a photograph of the damaged shingles from the ground looking up. His crew of co-workers viewed the damaged shingles from the ground looking up as well. In all due respects, my elderly neighbor is not experiened in roof repair either and she was also looking up at the roof from the ground up. The photographs sent were taken by a professional photographer from a ladder looking down at the damaged shingles. The photographs need to be enlarged to see the asphalt shingle mineral granule loss due to a blistering rash caused by the tree limb rubbing against the roof. I had my roof inspected in late Fall of 2021 at the cost of $275.00. No damage was found at that time.
I informed **** ****** that I was going to schedule a roofing contractor to inspect the damaged shingles and submit a quote. On April 7, 2022, **** ****** stated to send him the bill. I then proceeded to schedule Reliable Roofing Company for a roof inspection upon which they confimred the damaged shingles had granule loss due to a blistering rash caused by the tree limb rubbing against the edge of the roof. On June 2, 2022, Reliable Roofing Company quoted $410.00 indluding a $280.00 service charge plus $95.00 in labor and $35.00 for 1 bundel of matching shingles as shingles are not sold seperately.  **** ****** refused to pay. I then explained that $410,00 was reasonable considering that I had just paid $275.00 for an inspection in November 2021. **** ****** still refused. I did inform **** ****** that I would report this incident to the BBB if he did not respond by Jue 6, 2022. I never hear back from him, therfore I had no other alternative.

    Sincerely,

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

There is somethng wrong with the roof and there is something ****** Family Tree Servcie Company can do but they still refuse! Reliable Roofing Company conducted a professional roof inspection on June 2, 2022 upon which they found and confimred the damaged shingles had granule loss due to a blistering rash caused by the tree limb rubbing against the edge of the roof.  Todd ****** of ****** Family Tree Service still has refused tp pay Reliabe Roofing Company $410..00 to repair and replace the damaged shigles after he instructed me to send him the bill, therefore, I now have no other alternative but to report this to the State of Ohio Attorney Generals Office and to file a Small Claim with the Rocky River Municiapal Court who handles all small claims for the city of North Olmsted.

    Sincerely,
