I purchased an extended auto warranty from this company on 6/26/19 for $2199 when I bought a brand new truck from the dealer. It is "comprehensive" warranty, meaning that it covers all components from bumper-to-bumper (except consumables such as oil filters, belts, etc.). My only expense would be a $100 deductible. Recently my truck's navigation computer failed, so I took the vehicle to my dealer for repairs. Global Auto Solutions only offered to replace the navigation system with a refurbished unit. Nowhere in their brochure does it say refurbished components will be used, therefore I believe this company is intentionally misleading customers. If I want to replace the system with a new unit, it will cost me an additional $475 (counting the $100 deductible), on top of the $2199 I paid for my "comprehensive" warranty. I purchased this warranty to avoid expensive repairs in case something failed, and now they're cutting corners at the expense of their customers. I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated by the apparent dishonesty of this company. My dealer was also surprised and concerned with Global Auto Solutions' response to this repair. This sensitive electrical component should not be replaced by a used or refurbished unit. I simply want them to replace my nav-system with a new unit as requested. My Customer Contract Number (ADVPA) found in my warranty is JG385408. When I purchased the warranty, I received their brochure which states, "Congratulations on your vehicle purchase. Now that you've made a major vehicle investment, be sure to protect yourself against the high cost of unexpected mechanical failures. With an Advance Service Contract, you will not have to worry about the high cost of covered repairs." After paying $2199 for a warranty, another $475 is indeed an expensive repair. I feel misled and swindled.
