      I hired Universal Windows Direct to replace all of my windows in my home and garage. Approximately 30 windows in total. They were aware during the sales appointment, measurement, and even scheduling of install, it was discussed that we were having our home siding replaced after the window install. The appointment scheduler for UWD even advised me to double check that the siding company wasn't charging us to cap the windows because UWD would be capping them. Day two of install, the installers stopped capping windows altogether and left my project completely unfinished because they said the siding company should be doing the capping and UWD would reimburse me for the capping cost. I called to discuss reimbursement with UWD after receiving the estimate from the siding company and was assured I would hear from someone within 24 hours. 48 hours later and I'm left having to call them back. Terrible communication. No true escalation path for issues, and horrible customer service considering thousands of dollars are at stake here. Additionally, 7 of the new windows need to be placed because the grids are crooked. At install, the installers told me a service tech would have to come out to assess that and the torn screen on one of the other windows. Again, 48 hours after I called the first time and haven't heard from a service tech. I did just call back and forced the issue to get a service tech appointment but cannot speak with someone directly about getting reimbursed for the incomplete work my siding company had to do....I am just supposed to wait for someone to call me back. Infuriating and will NEVER use this company again and NEVER recommend them.
