This company was refered by my insurance company for an insurance claim, because my house was hit by lightning causing some structural damage and electrical damage to my house. *** was hired June 2024. They sent there electrician and a cleaning crew out. The cleaning crew finished and I signed off only to find out 2 months later after my wife and I had to remove all the debris because SMB never sent the truck to get rid of the garage. That the cleaning crew covered up with the debris scratches they made in my hard wood floor. I wasn't going to complain because my bed wood have covered it up. The electrician finished his work mid August, my wife and I both liked him. He seemed knowledgeable and seemed to know what he was doing. Unfortunately we were wrong. SMB then sent thier ********* out only after I had called them over and over. I asked him how long before he would start and he told me probably no sooner than 2 weeks. I was ok with that, but that time frame came and went. Again I had to call over and over til I would finally catch someone in the office. Finally in October my wife and I decided I would finish the project myself and pay *** for the work they had done. SMB seemed to be fine with that. When I stared the work I had to get into the electrical box only to find that the electrical never marked the breaker. I then had to trace the wiring to see where each breaker went. I went to remove the panel cove and as I did that it caused the drier breaker to trip. I took a flashlight looked in the box to see why that may have happened and that's when I seen the bare wires coming into the box. It look as though the electrician shave the wires with his utility knife and instead of fixing the problem just tried to hide the problem which then caused the bare wires to hit the steel box when I removed the panel. I had to fix that. He also reused the old boot which he destroyed on the electrical pole coming into the house allowing water to come down the pole. I have pics.
