    Sold us a product, but then offered no support. Now we cant even get parts for it even though we have part numbers. Have a fleet of 30 trucks with other brands of service bodies and cranes and no problem getting parts with them. Palfinger wont answer the phone or call back even if you leave a message and this has happened multiple times. The absolute worst company Ive ever dealt with in my job with fleet trucks over 14 years.

    I purchased a ln ****** lb palfinger Hooklift for one of my six wheelers. I always understood palfinger lifting equipment to be top of the line and liked their 3 year structural warranty.After 2.5 years of hauling exclusively wood chips, the hinge mechanism failed because the hinge bent. Palfinger promptly and without discussion denied my warranty claim and went a step further in refusing to sell me parts to fix my system. They then put me in touch with a sales rep who explained to me oh you didnt buy a real palfinger, you got one from a company we acquired and put our logo on but those hoists arent good. Ill sell you a real palfinger as a replacementFurther the 2 outside shops I brought the hoist to were shocked at how under built the rear end of the unit is. Both pieces of the hinge are substantially under built both for the weight rating, and relative to the other components of the lift (for example the cylinders are huge and powerful but exert tremendous strain on the hinge which is wildly under built)Another piece of this is palfinger claims they have only ever seen one other system fail at the hinge, however my mechanic who is 5 miles down the street from me showed me picture of an identical failure and repair he did on an identical palfinger hook system just 18 months ago.Overall I could not be more disappointed in the $37,000 system I bought and the customer service that came with it
