    On October 29 my husband and I were having difficultly connecting our new printer to our computer. We contacted the help line and were immediately connected to Lumina Tech Venture LLC. We were told our computer had a virus and they fixed the problem. The company then convinced us to buy “Lifetime Virus Protection” from them for approximately $1500 Canadian. After further thought that night I contacted Lumina the very next day and told them I was not comfortable with the lifetime policy and wanted to switch to a one year agreement. The salesperson that sold us the package was not available and I was told to call back the next day. Since then I have made 20 telephone calls. I was told each time that either the person was not available, or they would call me back within 30 minutes. My calls were never returned. I was finally told on my 20th call that their “server” could not switch my “lifetime” policy to a one year or issue me my refund. I told Lumina this was unacceptable. My final contact with Lumina was through email stating my dissatisfaction with the company. It has been now well over a week since I sent my email and there has been no response. I feel I have been dealt with unfairly. At no point did we receive a “contract” through Lumina. I called within 24 hours of purchasing this “lifetime” policy but received no refund. I feel that Lumina has taken advantage of us and that we have been scammed. Communication with Lumina has been at the very least extremely poor! We believe we should have at the least issued a partial refund and switched to the one year plan. I can only wonder what their service will be like should we encounter a problem with our computer!!!!
