I called to request an estimate for a small drywall job. The woman gave me a time slot of 4PM-5PM. When I told her that was not a convenient time for me she said that was the time given for estimates so I declined. She called back later to say that someone could come out earlier that day since he just finished a job. When I pushed for a time she just said he had to go home to change. I reminded her that I did not want to meet with someone after 4 PM. She said it would be earlier. As it got later in the day I called back & told her to forget ******** said he was on his way. I told her to have him drive around to the back & come to the back door. It was approaching 4 ****** had been waiting outside. I walked around to the front & saw a brightly colored van sitting along a house facing a different street. As I approached I saw the name of the business on the van & walked up the window to find the guy inside, smoking a cigarette. He called the office to say he couldn't find my ********* later saw a text the woman had sent to me advising that he was at my door! He kept blaming GPS. Despite the ********** inability to find my house, I had him look at the job. I asked for 2 estimates; one to do the bare minimum and the other to do the bigger invasive job. He told me they're a national franchise, charge $200 for the first hour & typically work on multi-million dollar houses (guess you can factor in the fancy company vehicles & the woman chasing down a sale into the exorbitant pricing). I never heard from them again; no estimate, no call to say they weren't interested in the job.

After double checking, we have no record of any *********************** on our schedule for an estimate in the last week. I can't find anything on this type of estimate either. Could it have been another handyman service?

Had them come out for an estimate to build 2 three foot front steps with a simple rail for our front porch. I had agreed to pick up materials. The following is the material list and estimate received for 2 three foot front steps that would be built resting on top of the two concrete steps that had sunk 2 inches. We are estimating 12 –16 labor hours ($1,493.00 to $1,969.00) to composite steps over the concrete steps. 1- Railing kit for 2 steps 2- 4x4x6’ treated post 4) 2x4x8’ treated boards 3- 8’ composite boards 1 box - 2 ½” composite deck screws 1- 3/4x12” pvc board 2 pound box of 3” tapcons This is copied and pasted from the exact email they sent me. It does NOT take 12 -16 hrs to attach two 2x4x12'' boards to 2 steps and attach 2 pieces of composite wood runners on top, plus the railing kit. A job like this would only take about 4-6 hrs. A 2lb. box of Tapcons is a huge box ($61 at Home Depot), WAY more than needed for the job. Did NOT have them do the job SINCE I DON'T TRUST THEM . They tried to play it off as a misunderstanding however the materials list plainly lists a rail kit for 2 steps!

We provided and estimate for time, and as requested, a rough estimate for materials. We estimate for unforeseen circumstances, and only charge for the actual amount of time it takes to complete the work - Done Right! our Technicians are very experienced, fully insured, background checked, bonded, and drug tested. We stand behind our work with a six month guarantee. We didn't even do any work for this person, yet they find enough "fault" to disparage our reputation? We take customer service very seriously. and currently have 186 unsolicited ****** reviews with a 4.9 star rating!

The actual no charge estimate summary for Technician read; "-2 estimate please - has a 2 step concrete step coming off front porch that is sinking. Would like a estimate to install composite steps over concrete steps and railing and a estimate to demo concrete steps and install composite steps and railing". That's substantial amount of work for a customer to be certain of time required to get the job done right?
