I would give Cutting Edge Countertops (CEC) in *********** IN less than one star but that isn't an option. Using CEC of *********** IN has been a total waste of my time and money. I ordered countertops for our kitchen through lowes. CEC of *********** was the subcontractor that did the install. CEC delivered and installed the countertop with a crack from the back to the front of the cabinets. I called CEC within 5 minutes of them leaving my house after I saw the issues and they refused to talk to me saying any complaints had to go through lowes. When ***** made them come back out to investigate the guy they sent out from cutting edge said it was a "natural fissure" that was repaired by the slab supplier so there was nothing they could or would do about it. You can feel the crack when you run your hands over the countertop and that part of the countertop has a high point accross the break. Cutting edge either broke it and installed it or failed to catch the break and shotty repair by their supplier prior to their fabrication and then installed it and stuck me with it. Either way, they installed unsatisfactory workmanship yet my only option as of now is to either live with a cracked countertop or spend several $1000's of my own money to get it replaced. None of these options are satisfactory. I should also note that they totally messed up the kitchen island top's support bracket installation. They cut a large hole in the wrong spots and left me to deal with the fix. The only thing I can say they did well was hide behind the fine print in their contract with ***** and left me as the customer holding the bag. The lowes process relies entirely on feedback from the installer to replace, repair, or offer financial compensation. So Cutting Edge has effectively blocked me from any further action other that a lawsuit that would cost me more than the countertops. Save yourself the money and frustration and use someone other than Cutting Edge of ***********.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on your experience. Our notes show our installation team was told by the homeowner, that the homeowner would be adding trim around the bracket and didn't need to do anything more to accommodate. Additionally, natural stone has characteristics that are outside of our control. The homeowner had the option to view material prior to fabrication and declined the opportunity. The customer can submit a warranty claim to Sage Surfaces, if they feel there is a defect in the material. Our findings show the area in question is a natural fissure that is inherent in the material.

My experience with Cutting Edge Countertops has been quite a disappointment. I do not recommend them, especially for any large custom work on a stately mansion. Their installers did an abysmal and sloppy job. Cutting Edge Countertops even made a mistake in measuring and fabricating one of the quartz pieces which caused another delay in installation. They left a huge mess in my kitchen and outside. They did a horrific hack job in cutting out the custom support for one of our islands. They had no template for cutting out the hole for the sink they were supposed to install. They did not measure one of my pieces correctly and made a poor cut onsite so they had to take it back to get re-fabricated and caused yet another 2 weeks delay. They also rushed their work and left one of my island pieces unleveled and I alerted the management about this but they refused to acknowledge it. In less than 2 weeks, that same island countertop of concern was loose and shifted when a guest of mine leaned on it. The countertop moved more than 1.5 inches. Cutting Edge Countertops did not install the island countertop correctly, safely and securely. When they were onsite, they did not look at the job holistically and notify me about any issues. If you value quality work and craftsmanship do not expect to get that kind of service from this company. Their sales manager told me I should not worry about the bad-cutting job their workers did because the countertop would hide their hack job. I was taken aback by their lack of empathy and respect for my home. It was like telling me that I should not worry if they installed bad rusty pipes and old hoses in my vintage classic Mercedes car because when I closed the hood no one would see the flaws. Again I stress do not work with this company save yourself the headache and stress stay away from Cutting Edge Countertops. Their work and countertops do not meet my expectation.
