January, 2024 we started to work with **** Wolfe, owner of DW Construction in ********* ****. Our original plan was to demo the already falling apart garage attached to the basement of my hillside ranch. In its place **** would build an apartment for my disabled father to move in, including a bedroom, 1 bathroom, a small kitchen/kitchenette and living space. He would also frame out an addition ontop that was off the main floor, only to complete framing, siding and roofing, this estimate price was separate. Thankfully it was decided that my dad would pay for each step of construction. Demo started in March and only took a few days. ***** idea of a retaining wall was to use railroad ties. One day of rain and the retaining wall was bowing terribly, flooding the space and my driveway with runoff water from the hillside, and the hillside starting to cave in. After multiple pictures, messages, his attempt to fix it, we requested he contact an experienced contractor who recommended a block wall instead. Railroad ties were removed and returned. We did not see a refund. Around June 7th ***** did a concrete pad for the new retaining wall. The hillside had no support during this time since the railroad ties were removed. Plans changed due to anxiety and doubts of ***** knowledge and how the hillside was caving in, to do a poured wall for the apartment instead. July 24th trenches for footers were finally being dug and rebar placed. My dad has proof of checks totaling $30,139, no refunds at this time and **** is claiming my dad owes HIM. The only thing to show is a garage demoed, excavation, footer TRENCH dug out with rebar, and a huge mess on my property hes refusing to clean up that was part of his responsibility. Less than $45k remaining of ***** estimate total with NOTHING when **** KNEW my dad needed a place to live by winter so he could get surgery. He ghosted us for weeks until we mentioned a lawyer.

In November 2023 received a quote from **** based on plans I provided for an addition on my home. We chose to proceed and he required $10,000 to begin permits and ordering materials. Then we stopped hearing from him. After having our neighbor contact him, he finally responded to us, but nothing ever developed and no work was even started. Come February, he completely stopped responding to me but has my money. He's never even returned to my home let alone built anything.
