May 17-21, 2023 We made a very expensive reservation ($1400) based on their website's advertisement of a 25% discount if you purchase the Ohio wildlife legacy stamp. The directions were to show the stamp on check in - which we did only to be told that they weren't honoring that discount. It was too late to change the reservation at that point. False advertising cost us $350. We contacted the manager and we were told that there was a blackout period. I said that there wasn't information about this on their website. She said that the Ohio Dept of Natural Resources website said that there may be black out periods. This is true but it does not say when these are and, as I said, the webiste for the Maumee Bay Lodge does not mention blackouts. This is supposedly a discount for all of the Ohio state park lodges. Here is the link to the page explaining the discount program: ****************************************************************** I filed a complaint through the Maumee Bay website and through the Regency Hotel Management, the parent company, but I have not had a response from either complaint.
