      We received an invoice from Gutridge plumbing for $195 for work completed on service date 5/16/23. On 5/16/23 we received a call from the plumbing service stating that management had changed their policy and they were no longer going to come and preform the work. They did not come to our premises on that day. I called Gutridge plumbing and explained the situation and they said they would lower the billet $159. I asked for cancellation of the bill due to no work being preformed and they threatened to send me to collections. In addition the invoice Gutridge sent is for payment upon completion of work when in fact no work was ever completed. We did have someone from their company come to give us an estimate in 4/2023. I believe it was 4/21/23, but again at that visit no work was completed and the plumber was in our house for less than 15 minutes. It was at that time he said work could be completed and that he would schedule a follow up which was supposed to be 5/16/23, but the company changed their mind about doing the work. We would like the invoice cancelled as we don't feel we should pay for work that was not ever started and thus not completed. We also feel that we should not be billed with service date 5/16/23 when all we did was receive a phone call stating the company changed their policy and wouldn't be coming to do work.

      We do apologize that this occurred. We have confirmed that our service department had voided the invoice for this service date shortly after this occurred in May. All parties involved have been spoken with and there is no outstanding bill for this service.
