    We signed a contract with ****** *****/JD Home Renovations to do minor home repairs on 7-31-2024. We paid $900 as a deposit towards these repairs and have a receipt of the payment. ****** was to do retaining wall repairs and repairs around a window/back porch wall. ****** never showed up to do the work at the scheduled date and time. He never contacted us to let us know he was going to be late or not showing up. We had to contact him and then stated he would be running late, still never showed uphe then rescheduled another day, also never showed up. We again had to contact him wondering where he was. After several attempts of scheduling him to do the work promised we said forget it just refund us the money we paid as a deposit as we had our house up for sale and couldnt wait weeks for him to never show up at all. ****** also at this point after several attempts hasnt refunded us the money we paid. We have several text messages where and when he would return the funds. Also, never showing up or letting us know he wasnt coming. It was after we had to contact him to find out he is pushing out and coming up with additional excuses as to why he cant give us our money back. On 8-8-24 ****** finally said he would give part of it back said $300 and the rest within a couple days. He showed up late and with only $250 and nothing since. We have all texts that can be provided of communication with Mr. ***** of all this issues. Still he hasnt done any work, and still not paid the deposit back for work that was never started.
