Yeti Electric (Tyler) was hired to wire our new build house, given a bid of $16,270.50. Some material costs were left out of the bid (like runs for hot water heater and furnace). His experience is commercial and little residential, which really came out in his work. Many mistakes were made and poor quality work, which can be detailed in the future as needed. He failed the first electrical inspection with nine items he had to come back and fix, which he did. Two of the nine items were not the correct way to fix the items, but we did finally pass the inspection. Most of the work was done and paid in the first two invoices totaling $15,266.88. Tyler told us the he likes to include most of materials and labor in the first two invoices so the final invoice is not a surprise. We did have a few extras that we agreed upon like 3-way switches, four can lights on side of the house, and other small items. His final invoice was $10,301.26 and included 88 hours of labor, we were more than surprised. Most of the wiring was completed with the first two invoices. There is no way he spent 88 hours working here for the final invoice. Tyler has an anger management problem and left here a few times yelling and slamming doors, making it difficult to discuss any issues we had with the job. We met with Tyler and his wife at the library to discuss the issues and he walked out in anger. We feel we paid far more than we should have already. We have to hire another electrician to fix the remaining work to correct numerous mistakes.
