Our Transaction accord on 20th of Sept 2023. Jc bandit was paid to install a pad for a shed. The shed was bought in and the builders informed us that the pad was not level that they had to install shims to level the shed. About a day later gravel mix started coming out on 3 sides. The sides were not secured or built properly to make sure that didn't happen. When we called them to inform them the woman who answered the phone was rude the moment we told her there was a problem with the pad. We we started describing the issue she started interrupting immediately and start accusing us of digging out the pad and we never sad that. Then she moved on to blaming the shed people who did nothing to the pad. The problem always someone's else's fault. The tried to offer band-aid to pour more rock along the sides of the pad. I had another construction company come look at it as a second opinion and they told us it was unfixable and built incorrectly. They told us the standard to use for the gravel was 411 and they didn't use that and that it's standard for the sides to be below the ground and it was not even touching the ground on 3 sides. Also, this company had the time to come out the day we need the work to start but when told there is an issue we were told it wouldn't be for at least 10 days. The construction company was supposed to come out today and instead called and again it's everyone fault but them. They tried to blame the sheds 2 foot porch being further out from the pad as being the problem and again not thier fault. Also they were asked about permits and the original guy lied and said he asked our city and he said they said we didn't need a permit which clearly was a lie because we had someone come out to take out the old and start a proper one and we had to stop because the city officials made us. Now we have to ask for permission in a town hall meeting to have a shed because of thier lie. Lastly they broke our fence and haven't replaced the materials they broke.

We were contracted to build a 14' X 18' shed pad for our client ****** ******* on September 15th. She had ordered a shed and it was being delivered on the 22nd and needed an old dilapidated shed removed first and then the pad made asap. So to help a repeat client we got her on the schedule asap which was the 20th, however the client had so many contractors on site for different outside works that we weren't able to get past them or in the yard to start the work due to the drain tiles she was she having put in, as well as the other crews that were there which we were not informed of. When *** (owner) went and met with the client to do the estimate, he outlined different ways to do the pad , however she wanted it done as soon as possible and the easiest and cheapest way being the shed was being delivered with or without the pad being made. So they decided on building up a framed pad and filling in to get it done in time and we would come back to do the backfill that keeps gravel/stone etc from coming out and dress it out with stones that hadn't been decided on yet. ****** approved everything, signed the contract for us to start and made deposit on September 15th. ****** was also informed on the 15th that we do not pull permits, that it is on her to check if needed and to get it, if needed. All permits are up to the clients of any job, it is our SOP to do it that way and that is how it has always been done. Client was happy and we moved forward. While on the job, ****** first tried to have the foreman build a smaller pad then what was contracted, however he built exactly what was contracted as to not violate the contract. Then the day before the shed was being delivered she called *** to inform him she was wrong on the measurements and the shed pad isn't going to be big enough. She was informed that it would be another charge to extend the pad out (labor & materials). She also was there during the entire build and was aware of all materials being used as she paid for them. There is not a standard on what materials we use, it is up to what the client will want/pay for. We used recycled concrete which we have used many times. She also asked the foreman on the 22nd while he was tamping the pad how does he knows when its level, foreman then proceeded to take his level out and go around the entire pad showing her how , explaining things and showing her that is was level. We finished the pad on the 22nd in the morning before the shed crew came to deliver the shed. That evening myself and *** went back to the clients to do a walk through for approval ( shed was on pad and shed crew was gone) and to collect final payment. *** and ****** discussed again contracting us for the backfilling and dressing it out as well as ****** had *** look at many others things she wanted us to do. We were there for 2 hours. ****** was completely happy, mentioned nothing about anything being unlevel, paid us and was awaiting a new quote for the back filling, extending the pad and other jobs so we could get started on those. She also mentioned to *** that her neighbor behind her is on the city board and told her they are probably going to say something about the pad being close to the property line and laughed about it as they continued to walk around and look at other things she wanted done.  However, we built the pad exactly where the client told us, apparently failing to do what *** told her and check about the permits and codes. The afternoon of the 25th client reached out, while speaking with her she said over the weekend gravel all of a sudden came out under the framing boards, which is not true. That gravel was already there from pouring and tamping it (we have photos on file if needed) when we finished the pad and before the shed was delivered and again was explained to her the evening of the 22nd that when we come to do the back fill it will add stabililty to the pad , which was much needed being a structure was built on the pad, that was not intended for a structure that size. And if a board was bowed we would replace it. She stated that her son was putting his fingers down in the recycled concrete and could pull out materials, I told them to stop digging down into it, it's not solid concrete it's crushed. Yes it can be moved if you're digging in it. She informed me she had another contractor out that morning before she let us know anything and that she was having another company tear it out and build another starting the next day. I told her if she had that done before we could look at anything she is saying is wrong, there is nothing I can do for her. All contractors do things differently and we have done this several times.  When I tried to schedule *** going out to look at things and speak with her, ****** informed me she's not working from home anymore and the only time she is available is Thursday evenings. Due to the time/day restrictions she had, yes it was going to be 10 days before *** could come out. Her son, who we have never dealt with or spoken with then got on the phone and proceeded to threaten me, and I absolutely told him and ****** they will not speak to me that way or threaten me. I am here to help them anyway I can but I will not tolerate being threatened. When *** did go to check on things and meet with ****** the foreman also went with him, however when coming up to the property, they saw our pad had been torn out and was gone and a new one was being built. *** then called the client (recorded) and asked her what was going on. She stated she had someone building a new one, he then asked her what she was wanting us to do then being she was told repeatedly we needed to come look at things. That we are not going to refund her if we can't confirm anything is wrong, especially being nothing was wrong when she paid us and the shed was there. We did not break any part of the fence, we (at clients request) removed a section of the fence in the front yard by the house so that our crew and the other crews could get into the backyard. We left that section of fence down once we finished the pad and she paid us, again at clients request, so the other crews could still get in and we could as well when we did the backfilling, and we would put it back up when we were done with everything. Nothing was ever mentioned about the fence until this complaint (photos on file as well). Client failed to do her part of the project and check for permits as informed, client contracted the wrong size pad and the pad was put exactly where she instructed the crew too. Her failures, do not constitute a refund on our work she specifically wanted, so that she can have someone else redo everything at once (probably a bundle deal) instead of us doing the work split up like she asked.

I had to have a meeting with the board with the city of enon and the health department and about the pad that was built both said the pad wouldnt have passed inspection and no permit was filed for or asked about because JC bandit had they would have recieved a packet to fill out that clear states at the top of the page that sheds and any reconstruction must have a permit. And JC bandit claims to be reputable business that has done buisness in the area regular and at no point did my mother tell them we didn't need a permit...she ASKED THEM if we needed one THEY told HER that THEY went to the city of Enon and asked and claimed they were told they didn't need one do to it being a reconstruction...which was a complete lie as the guy who runs that department is my neighbor. And he himself said in the meeting that NOONE ever came to him about this job and that this is not the first time JC bandit has come up with them or first complaint. And as far as the whole my mother ****** signed off on the work, she isn't a construction expert. She trusted JC bandit to be the experts and took them at thier word that this was the best course of action. Also JC bandit at no time said anything about needing drainage around a the pad since it was near a hill when it is 100% required to keep any paid from washing out.

Another lie told by JC bandit was stating we had many construction crews out there. We had 1 two man team doing drainage.

Another lie When it comes to the fence they just admitted in there statement they were paid to remove a section of fence with the purpose of putting it back together and was paid in the same price to put it back together when construction was done. They are the ONLY ONES  who has ever touched the fence and it is still not back together. And the guy who removed the fence post that was concrete into the ground broke it. And told us he would replace it and he took the broken fence post with him They also broke several planks we they took down 2 trees. But he never broke any fencing right. Shown in pictures the bright new planks that had to be replaced.

Another lie is that they and my mother agreed to do a "dressing" around the pad to fix the pad...if they were reputable thier pad wouldn't need fixing less then a week after they did it. And this "dressing" he is talking about is to pour rock all the way around the above ground walls of the pad to cover up their crap work. They stated that my mom agreed to this..she never did. They TOLD her that was the only thing were willing to do , a direct quote "to make it not look it came from west Virginia" which is another indicator they knew thier job was crap.

Another lie is they are trying to say I was digging. No thier secretary put words in our mouth to try to deflect the blame unto us. They were told all I literally did was take my index finger and middle together and push down into the material under the shimmed shed and there was very little resistance it was like was putting you fingers into a sand box that hand rocks mixed in. That is not digging which is again another lie to deflect blame from them.

The only threats I made was to take legal action and get Veterans Affairs involved as to knowingly do bad construction for a disabled veteran which falls under felony fraud in stead of misdemeanor due to my disability status.

During my meeting with the city council it was pointed out that it is expected of construction companies to know city ordances before they start and its common practice for the construction company to secure the permits before they start and include the price of that in the fee.

When asked if they would take responsibility for damage to the shed  if they because of thier delay to coming to "asses" the fact that the pad was heeling in on direction enough to make a push mower roll in that direction. Then they danced around it stating that if it was damaged it was everyone else's fault but the pad they built. And finally said no they wouldnt.

When talked to JC bandit I was able to get them to talk into circles and changing thier story. I am a trained corrections officer for the state of Ohio and I have received tons of training and experience in questioning suspects and how we catch people is get them talking in circles and when thier story changes thats how you ha e found where they fit into the incident and what subject you need to press as they have just now lied. I caught JC bandit on this with the permit thing, how proper pads are supposed to be built and even what material is supposed to be used.

JC bandit the moment you have money to give them they are thier the same day but when they screw up low and behold you have to wait 10 days for them to even look at the issue and then wait even longer for them towouldn't. And they charged 1800 for a crappy pad.

When we had someone else do it they tore out the old go rid of JC bandits crap work and installed drained installed it to where the shed is flat on the ground and is level and the filler material is darn near unmoveable the other company did a excellent job for 1400. And all of my neighbors will be using them and everyone now know JC bandit are liars and crooks. And I live in a rich area of this town and so does the city council which only took pictures to make sure they don't recieve anymore business in this area ever again.to include the mayor and several major realtors. None of them want anything to do with JC bandit.

Here is picture of new nice paid that cost less and done right

and the evidence that there is supposed to be a fence post to hold the fence together that JC bandit claims they never broke when their guy is the only to ever touch the fence and broke and of course took with him to be able to cover it up...thats a gate your looking at which always requires a fence post which are concerted in .which is missing and so is concert. And you can see the new fence blanks that had to be installed that they say they never broke. But I supposed they just feel apart on thier own or I replaced them for no reason...lol. perfect example of me once again catching them in a lie
