Based on an ad we saw in **** Magazine with a price 0f $160 to clean a dryer vent we made an appointment. The tech was polite and personable. He rattled off a bunch of extra charges. He vauumed the dryer.; changed out a section with a BETTER section of aluminum pipe and blew the clogged.. This was just what expected to be done, except for that aluminum pipe of course. He was here 45 minutes and the charge was $456.
Two days ago I wrote a review about Dryer Vent Wizard of Cincinnati. It was more negative review than it should have been. We saw an add in the Home Magazine for Dryuer Vent Wizard to clean a vent for $160. Our cost was $436. After a conversation with the owner I had a better understanding of what goes into cleaning a 17 foot vent that had not been cleaned in the 21 years it had been installed.

****, I appreciate your review and we always try to learn from it. Often times when we receive calls wanting a ballpark figure for cleaning the vent we do tell them that $160 is a ballpark figure and the typical charge averages $165. Since we are certified we are required to reveal the entire condition of your dryer and drying process so we can be sure you are safe and your dryer is operating efficiently. Often, as in your case, you did need additional work to bring your vent up to code and for you dryer to be safe and efficient. WE always give you the options and you are required to approve the work by signing that you agree. That is completely your option and choice. Again, I am sorry you are not pleased with the service and I will follow up with you individually. But, Thank you again for responding....We could have accomplished more by you calling me, the owner, so we could resolve the concern....Review fromDaniel R

5 starsThey did a good job for me. I had to buy and install a vent pipe after I bought the house because the previous owners just let it vent in the attic. They trimmed the pipe for me because it was too long and not venting well and blowing back into house. There was always dust in the house from the lint blowback. Thanks to Stephen for doing a good job!
