    On 12/29/2023 Nathan E****** of American Tree Service stopped at my house and stated they noticed we had a lot of trees and they were slow and could do a good price if we needed one removed. I said we did and we agreed on a price and he said he could start today. During the work a part of the tree landed on my power service line going to my house and bent the mast attached to the home. I asked for his insurance info and he said he would get it when he got home. I explained I was going to have to file a claim with his insurance due to the damage done to the home and he stated he would fix it himself. I do not feel comfortable having someone who is not a licensed electrician complete this work and by the reviews I do not trust this company to repair what they have damaged. I would like his insurance information to be able to make a claim to have this repaired as the damage was done when he was completing the work.

    BBB summary of txt messages:

    Business was hired for tree removal. While doing work part of the tree landed on consumer's power service line to his house and bent the mast attached to the home.

    ****** ****** asked Nathan E****** for his company's insurance information so he could file a claim with the insurance company.

    Nathan E****** responded stating the damage consists of a piece of metal that can be easily bent back with a screw in it. Nathan Edwards offered to complete the repair.

    ****** ****** declined Nathan E****** completing the repair.

    I hired this company on December27, 2022, ran by Nathan E*******, to remove and clean up a tree that had fallen during the blizzard. He came out and chopped up some of the tree into firewood and left- saying he would return to finish. He was paid $500 ( in advance) because he stated he needed the money to dump the wood. When he finally returned the city was there and I told the city to go ahead and remove the largest trunk of the tree as this company had stated they had to figure out how to remove it. Nathan E******* then proceeded to ask the city to remove all the tree and even tried to get them to.load the remaining firewood into his truck. I had problems getting them to finish the clean up and he refused to remove the busted roots still in the ground. When he did arrive he peeled his tires and slammed doors and was very disrespectful. He also advertised on social media to get others to remove the tree and firewood- a Job HE WAS PAID TO DO! He set the price and I paid it. So basically, this company scammed me out of $ 500 because all he did was cut up firewood and he took two loads of firewood away. The CITY of Marion removed and cut up the rest of the tree plus the larger trunks that Mr Edward's did NOT want to take away He tried saying he got the city to take away the tree but he did not and tge fact is HE WAS PAID TO DO THE JOB- NOT THE CITY!

    I have done two other jobs for her I went broke their was atleast a fifty foot tree that blew over their was all the brush at the top of the tree still to it was a whole tree not just a log with only firewood I hauled out a trailer full of brush then two trailer full of logs my trailer is a dump trailer 16 ft long and 4 ft high walls so I hauled a lot out snow was on the ground I cleaned up what I could at the time but once the snow melted I went back again and re Raked everything again I went their Monday morning early was getting ready to load the logs all logs was cut up pri to this day I cut them up the first day then started hauling stuff away how ever the city did show up and said they would take the big logs so me and my guys rolled the logs to them for their Crain to be able to reach also she ask the city to do the job befor hiring me the city told her NO but after I cut it up and hauled almost all of it gone then they was in the area they offered to help me with just four logs she had to borrow the mone to which I had to drive about 8 miles from her house to pick it up this to me is she’s just wanting a free job making false statements

    I am rejecting this response because:  This man is lying. He refused to do the job. He took the money and just took firewood. I sent you pictures showing exactly what he took and what the city

    took. The city was NOT just in the area. I had called them and asked again about help with the tree. They decided to help and showed up. Then Nathan E*******  finally showed up and asked them to do the rest of the job for him! I was standing there and heard the conversation.  The city took everything except 2 loads of firewood. Then. E******* tried to get the city to.put that final load in his truck. This man is a shameful liar who dies a half job and then complains about travel and gas? He set the price- not me and he should have anticipated all his costs.  He basically scammed us out of $500. We paid him to cut his own firewood and take it  while the city did the job!

     Even the city spoke about the complaints they have heard about this man. Others have since come forward. 

    i will be pursuing a civil suit against him as I have the pictures, which i sent you as well as others who were scammed by this man.

    he can keep the money he scammed us...no the money he STOLE   for a job he did not complete .
