      On July 11, 2023, my wife, ****** and I, had Mighty **** Carpet Cleaning company clean our carpet at a cost of $174.42. On August 6th, ****** notified the cleaning technician, ****, that some spots were on the lower left and right leg of our tv stand from the cleaning chemicals. **** instructed ****** to use a stainless steel cleaner, which we purchased from Walmart. The cleaner we used didn't remove the spots. **** visited us on September 20th and used his brand of cleaner. His cleaner didn't remove the spots as well. **** agreed with us that the spots resembled a spray pattern. He said he would contact his insurance and file a claim. **** said our existing tv stand would be confiscated in exchange for a replacement. **** texted me on October 6th and said that the cleaning and treatment chemicals he uses wouldn't cause those spots. Please note, we never use chemicals to clean our tv stand, only dry dusting. We purchased the tv stand on September 27, 2022, at a cost of $181.25 ($169, plus tax) and assembled it. We would like to resolve this complaint with another Whalen Xavier 60 inch 3-in-1 TV stand. That tv stand is currently available at the Walmart store located in Willowick, OH. Thank you.

      RECEIVED VIA EMAIL BY BBB STAFF MEMBER:

      We perform the service on September 2, 2023 at approximately 1145 and he called us a week later saying that we damaged his TV stand I made a few calls to my chemical places and then on September 20 I went out and looked at the TV stand and said this is not calls from a chemical imbalance, and then Mr. Washington called me back, and I told him I did not do that that is for moisture not from our chemicals. The first two pictures I sent her is another customers house showing that we did not calls the damage it's cause from moisture

      I don't understand what clarification you need. On February 23, 2024, I was contacted via telephone by ****, owner of Mighty **** Carpet Cleaning and Janitorial Services. He stated, "I will correct the complaint by paying you by the end of the month."  I informed **** that we have a court date scheduled for April 04, 2024, at 3pm with Euclid Municipal court. He acknowledged that he had received a certified letter from the court. The Better Business Bureau sent me an email recently stating, "We have done everything we can to assist in resolving this complaint, but the business (Mighty ****) never responded to our notifications)."

      The consumer has stated that they will agree to drop the small claims case if the business will keep their word and refund him by the end of the month.

      Mighty ****'s has agreed to send a check for $150 to the consumer towards the replacement of the TV stand. They also request that they have no further business with the consumer after this is completed.
