Very unprofessional. I had work done I was quoted a price in agree to the price so we proceeded with the procedure. After the fact they build both of my insurance companies and Max them out they still want an additional $1,500 from me which I already paid 500. When I questioned why the price went from what I was quoted you what they are trying to Bill me now all they said was there was additional cost build such as anesthesia emergency dental visit which was $90 and it was not an emergency I scheduled it two-and-a-half weeks in advance. Unethical how they are treating me and after we agreed upon a price and I agreed to proceed with them now they want to add additional fees and charges which is unprofessional in my opinion. I would highly recommend not to go there unless you want to pay more than what you are being told. I have officially filed a complaint with the Dental Board and I hope they would agree to what they did was unethical. I agree that any professional should be paid for the work that they have done. When you quote someone a price you should stick with that price or if it's going to go higher at least disclose it to the person before you do any additional work so that person can make a decision on whether or not to proceed or not.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/14/2023

Mr. **** presented with a complaint of badly decayed teeth and pain on 10/3/22.  His diagnosis required a Panorex x-ray and examination, $120 & $70 respectively.  At this time, it was explained to the patient that teeth #4 & 5 were extremely decayed and could require Root Canal Therapy, build-ups and eventually crowns.  The decay had to be removed before we could get a definitive diagnosis.  We also gave the patient the option to have the teeth extracted.  We gave the patient an estimate of the charges for the major work that needed to be done.  He chose to save the teeth and approved all necessary treatment.

    Tooth #4 required:

    1) Root Canal Therapy

    2) Build up

    3) Crown

    Tooth #5 required:

    1) Extensive build up

    2) Sedative pulp cap

    3) Crown

The patient also requested N2O sedation which is a separate fee and depends on the length of the sedation.  The patient was given all fees upon request.  He did not have a problem with that until the insurance did not cover 100% of the fees.  Our office sent him detailed information regarding all charges and all payments made by insurance.  We also offered him a 10% discount as long as he paid in full by the end of the month.

I am rejecting this response because:
What they are saying is completely incorrect. Yes I was explained that I needed a root canal and they gave me a price which that's what I agreed upon. They never even gave me the option of removing the teeth. After the fact I spoke with the lady that does the insurance and billing and she told me that there was extra cost that was associated with the root canals that was never relate to me. Yes they were correct that this was not an issue until the insurance didn't cover it because I didn't know what was being billed because they were building much more than what I was told.
