We were told that the tree that was to be cut down would be in manageable pieces. Also they were to remove the stump and level it out. We had to remove part of our fence and they would put it back up for us. They destroyed our rope lights we had around our flower beds and took up the landscape lights. They didn’t get the stakes out of the ground for the lights and we have several without them. I have only been able to find 3 of stakes. We paid them 4500.00 cash for their service. When contacted about what they didn’t do we were told the manageable pieces where for a front end loader! Also they don’t do fences! We had another tree service come to finish the stump removal at a cost of 350.00. I would like a refund of 600.00 to pay for the destroyed lights and refund of the 350.00 we had to pay the other tree service.

The customer expressed his concern in the danger of the Maple Tree. The tree was located in between the house trailer and garage. The roots had grown into the fence and garage. Due to the location of the tree, we had concerns on the access to the stump and roots. The customer and I spoke on where we would be driving in the yard to remove the tree. The customer stated he would remove all decor, bricks, lights and ect prior to us arriving. It states in the contract that with removing the fence, we could gain access to remove the remaining stump roots. Customer refused to remove fence, so he agreed to leave it as is. Customer initially agreed to keep all wood, cut up in manageable pieces. We stressed to the customer during the estimate, that the base would be large pieces, even cut in manageable pieces. Once the base was cut down, he decided to have us haul some of the larger pieces. We hauled the pieces he didn’t want with no additional cost. Customer and his wife were present the entire time the job was being performed. Customer had no complaints and paid in full when job was finished. I’m willing to work with the customer on a solution to resolve this matter. I would be willing to pay $100.00 to replace lights, if that would satisfy customer. Thank you

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Nothing was ever mentioned about us removing the lights. The only thing we said we would do is remove the fence so they could get to the stump. Besides that we do not live in a trailer! The neighbor has a privacy fence close to our fence and we were never given the option to remove that. They just quit and said they wanted paid. They also bumped our well casing and I told 2 guys about that. So I did have a complaint. When I called to complain about the stump I was told they would be down in a couple of weeks to talk to us about the problems and they never showed up. I feel they should pay us 350.00 to have someone else come to do the stump plus 150.00 for the lights.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******
