    I purchased a tire from Kennys Auto Wrecking on October 10th, 2024. The tire I purchased was dry rotted and the date reads the 21st week of 2011. The condition of this tire resulted in it blowing up on the highway on November 17th, 2024. I was two hours from home and my car resulted in quite a bit of damage including the rear bumper, wheel well, fender liner, scratched/chipped paint, and the passenger side mirror. When confronting Kennys Auto Wrecking I was told that ***** and given excuse after excuse about the situation. I was told they would not fix the damage to my vehicle which was caused because of a tire they sold to me illegally. It wouldnt let me upload all the photos of the damage so I had to make a collage of the damage which is inserted in the complaint.

    I am sorry,  I do not recall seeing an email or a letter concerning this.   I was not aware of this issue until now.  I feel bad that this has happened to this customer.  We are an used parts auto store.  We are very selective what used tires are sold.  I am 100% sure that our salesperson would have only sold a tire meeting a certain criteria.  It's overall appearance would have been judged and it would have had at least 50% or more tread on it.  The customer is also involved when accepting a tire they purchase.  It is their final decision to take the tire.  We do offer a 30 day replacement warranty.  Had she noticed any unusual wear and cracking start to appear she could have brought back and we would have supplied her another tire.  Again I am sorry for her troubles.  If she would like a replacement tire please have her come in.  Thank you.  ****** *****
