  I spent several hours at this store with the intention of adopting a conure, but was met with an aggravating, confusing and crummy experience. After speaking to an employee about two birds that I was interested in, the first shock was the outrageous prices. $2500 for a sun conure is insane! The average price for a sun conure at any normal pet store is roughly $600 MAYBE upwards of $800, but nowhere near what Petland is asking!! After asking several questions and inquiring about several other birds, I was given the run around and was told several different stories regarding the prices. One employee tells me $1100 and another tells me $2500! Another employee says 50% off but the manager tells me otherwise.. I was confused, aggravated and ready to leave.. Regardless, as I was looking to purchase the bird as a gift for my wife and no other store had conures available at the time, I reluctantly stuck around and agreed to explore their financing options and interact with the conure to insure it was the right choice. However, I was never given the opportunity to interact with the bird and even none of the employees would agree to handle it. Any time I asked about the birds temperament or behavior, I was was given an "I'm not sure" answer.. After even more persuasion and being told that if purchased the bird they would throw in a free $800 cage, I agreed to purchase the conure through their financing option. The whole time being reassured by the manager that I was getting a hand fed, well raised, friendly conure that loves people. But I quickly discovered that was not the case. After getting home and attempting to put the bird in its cage, I was bitten several times and after a week of having it, the bird shows no sign of friendly behavior and will lunge at me any time I get near the cage.. I am an experienced bird parent and know how to handle new birds, but this bird is a nightmare. Petland will take advantage of you! No wonder they pushed so hard to get rid of this bird!

  HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DONT DO IT. I paid $3000 for a puppy that came home sick, which in return got all my other animals sick. I have hundreds of dollars in vet bills for treating my other animals. Also, ALL these puppy's come from PUPPY ***** these are not reputable breeders. (Even though I asked multiple times and was assured they do not purchase puppies from puppy *****) BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. When I addressed my concerns in the store, the employee became harassing and told me to meet her at 4pm on the Corner and she would beat my a** DO YOUR RESEARCH AND DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
