    I hired Sheridan and cjk group to print 500 copies of my self published childrens book Nov 2021. **** ****** assured me that it would be printed by January 2022. I had to reach out to him every month after January and he always gave an excuse to why it wasn’t done. I asked to his supervisor and magically it was finished in April. **** and I agreed that the fee would be $2700 total and that %50 deposit was required. When I received the bill for reminding fee it was $3000. When I asked **** why it was so much he said “I made a mistake and printed 958 copies” I told him I couldn’t afford that and asked if I could purchase 500 as agreed on. He said that if I wanted to do that the price would be more than if I bought 958 copies. I never agreed to buying 958 copies but I was blackmailed into purchasing 958 copies. And because I had already made arguments for a book signing I had to pay for all 958 copies or they wouldn’t ship the books. After paying for the books I asked to speak to his supervisor and president of the company to express my concerns. **** ****** the president apologized and said I would get a refund for 500 books. They sent me a check only for 250 books. They’ve lied to me serval times and haven’t been helpful in resolving this terrible situation. I hope that other authors don’t get scammed by this unprofessional Buisness. They also forgot to put the isbn number on the book which is how people can find my book. They had to send stickers of the isbn number and I had to put them on myself which caused to be time consuming and didn’t look professional.

    This is a confirmation that the complaint has been received by the appropriate individual at Sheridan.  The previous individual to whom all prior attempts have been made is no longer at this facility.  We will review and respond once we refresh ourselves with this issue.

    We appreciate Mr. ****** reaching out to us and expressing his concern over the handling of his project and to allow us the opportunity to properly reconcile this issue.  While we hope to exceed our customers’ expectations in every aspect of the job, as far as the customer is concerned, we seemed to have fallen short. It took some digging to go back to May of 2021 and review this issue in detail.  After thoroughly reviewing the events, it does seem we did not fully reconcile the difference between the 32-page 500 quantity job and the 44-page 1,000 quantity job.  We determined that Mr. ****** should have received a total credit of $1,713.44.  We previously credited Mr. ****** $1,539.98.  We have initiated a final credit in the amount of $173.46.

    We certainly want all of our customers to be pleased with the overall experience with our organization and we will always stand behind our product and service.
