I had an in home meeting with ***** ****** regional sales manager of bDurable floor coatings on Saturday August 3, 2024. This was to discuss coating my enclosed back porch. He quoted us a price of $5,717.00. He said that the coating came with a life time warranty with no service cost to fix or repair the floor ever. Unless it was caused by misuse or accident. For the life of the cement. We signed on his i-Pad. He emailed the document to us latter. They came and coated the floor on Monday the 12th of August. AFTER the coating was finished and the crew was cleaning up we paid for the coating and was given paperwork which included a "bDurable Garage Floor Coatings, LLC - Limited Lifetime Warranty Card". In the warranty it states that "bDurable ...... offers a limited lifetime warranty for the useful life of all floor coatings installed by a certified bdurable installer ("PRODUCT") (which is deemed to be 10 years). bDurable stands by its work and provides this information to ensure that its intentions are clear, and your expectations are met at the time of installation and during the use your new Product. Farther down it states "however, that bDurable will charge a destination fee at prevailing rates for service calls made after the first year of the installation date, regardless of whether bdurable determins that such service call is due to a warranty claim." As you can see it is not the "Life Time" that ***** told me. He knew that I had a quote with a competitor (***** * ***** ******** ***** ********) that offered a 15 year warranty and was less costly. He knew that bDurable was not lifetime but only 10 years. He lied. He returned my call the evening of the 12th. I told him that I was not happy with the warranty. I reminded him that I had a quote for a lesser amount and came with a 15 year warranty. His reply was "trust me, I will make sure that you will never pay a dime for any warranty work" I said that wasn't good enough. I have called him 4 times with no reply!

On 8/29/2024 our Regional Manager contacted the consumer via email and to date the consumer has not responded to our request for a return call or a follow up email so that we can work towards a resolution.

The email on 8-29-24 has nothing to do with my BBB complaint. They spilled some of the clear sealer on my door threshold. They were to send techs over to get the dried selant off the threshold. Nothing at all to do with my warranty complaint ! this is bDurables case number ********.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/05/2024

I am rejecting this response because: They sent me a generic email that said: "As per your contact with our Customer Service team, we have opened a case for you. We are actively working on addressing your concern(s). If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at ******************** ** ************.

Thank you for being a valuable customer!

      bdurable Garage Floor Coatings"

I was in contact with their ******* about two weeks ago regarding some spatter on my entrance door threshold. He was working with me on getting the spatter removed. I "assumed" that because this email came from Customer Service and not management and didn't mention anything about the BBB. Or even mentioned the BBB case number that this was regarding my conversation with *******.

I did call the number on their email to me this morning. I went into their calling system for normal service work. The voice mail said that they will be back to me in 24 hours. It did not allow me to give my name or a "case #" so that the correct person could call me back. So I am still waiting on a resolution.

BDurable will be glad to schedule service for the consumer at their earliest convenience. However, if the service is for work not covered under the warranty, there may be an additional fee. For services where the work is covered under the warranty, there will be no charge.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 09/16/2024

I am rejecting this response because: I was misled by bDurable's representative ***** ****** about having a life time warranty. He new that I had a lower priced quote with a 15 year warranty. Mr. ****** kept telling me that he had a life time warranty. It wasn't until the job was done and the installation crew handed me the warranty card that bDurable has established that they have determined that concrete had a "lifetime" warranty of 10 years. Mr. ****** knew that and at best mislead me to believe that their warranty was longer than 15 years! I have only asked to have in writing on their letterhead that they were going to extend my porch warranty to 20 years. If that is not acceptable then they can refund the difference between the two quotes.
