Transaction date: 8/25/2022 Amount paid: $1751.70 Business committed to removing and replacing brake lines with quality work and to safety standards. Upon towing our vehicle from Auto Emporium, we had a mechanic interested in purchasing it who noticed several concerns upon purchase. Rear brake lines were stretched across the undercarriage and left hanging to where if something on the road snagged it, the brakes would have been faulty. In addition, the compression couplings used were not to safety standards and commonly fail due to no flare to hold the line in. And the brake proportioning valve was not replaced with a new valve, as reflected on the invoice. The business owner, ****** *******, upon seeing the photos of the work, stated that his business was not responsible for the work. This is not the case, as we had it towed directly from his property. ****** insisted that he has a Quality Control Supervisor who checks every vehicle before it is released, though he could not provide me with any report to prove this, and also was unwilling to allow me to meet with this specialist to discuss the work done. ****** refused to consider this work was being done at his shop, rather than being open to the fact that the photos proves otherwise. He stated that sometimes customers try to get money back by complaining about the work. This is not the case here. We want to get this resolved so nobody else has to find themselves in this position after patronizing Auto Emporium.
