Took my truck to the shop to get some work done. In the process of dart having my truck for 4 weeks an a few days the didn’t fix the problem and caused more Issues with the truck. Put used transmission in my truck bc they changed my gasket an it’s was leaking when they told me it was fixed an I drove with who knows how much done leaked out an the truck starts grinding super loud from the middle of the truck. Said it was fixed 3 different times but wasn’t. Ended up refunding the money bc I was T happy with the results a signed a paper saying they are responsible to fix anything they messed with that isn’t fixed or got messed up or anything damage done.Business Response

****** ******the office lady signs paperwork all the time so I’m not sure how it don’t hold up. Also you wouldn’t fix the truck you said take it somewhere else. You gave a refund because you damaged my truck a won’t fix it. You cost me more money than you did anything else.

The repair was on 2/3/2023 for a left-front wheel bearing that was $338.63. My wheel bearing still makes the same growling sound and all my sensors are now on since the repair on 2/3/2023. I took my car to two additional mechanics and shops which both informed me that my left front wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I have two invoices from those places with a photo and video reflecting that the repair was not completed.Business Response

We spoke with the customer yesterday, Monday, August 14, and it was explained to her that the bearing is covered under warranty and if she would like to bring it back in, we will replace the bearing. Would also like to note that this is the first time we have heard from the customer and that there was a problem. As she said, repair was done 6 months ago.Customer Answer

My husband took our 2002 Buick Century to Dart Automotive. I was referred by a co-worker that this business was a great place to get our car fixed. The brakeline needed to be fixed, as well as the ABS. So when we received the invoice it showed that the brakeline and the R/R wheel cylinder was fixed. The business did allow us to pay them as soon as we could. We are thankful for that. However, our car since it was fixed in September has had issues since. The car idles, the car runs slow, we have two codes saying there is a misfire and something to do with the gas. Our Buick didn't have these problems before, other than what was stated above. At this moment this is our only transportation and we can't even drive our car. My husband did call and explain the issues we now have and they want to charge $400 more to check our car again for the same issues that should've been fixed in the first place. I don't understand why businesses like this one scams people out of money we work hard for.Business Response

We would like to first say that we did fix the brakeline and wheel cylinder. We are sorry they are having further issues with their vehicle but what we repaired has nothing to do with the running issues (runs idle, misfiring or gas issues). I am rejecting this response because:This response is not true, when my husband called a woman on the phone said they charge $400 to check and find out what is wrong. Even after my husband stated it could be the result of the work that was done and it could be their error. No matter it seems this company is denying they were wrong and did not fix our car correctly. We can pursue this matter further in court. Thank you for your time.

We are sorry but we do charge $40 to check out a vehicle but that is only for new customers and the $40 is taken off a bill if the customer has their repair done with us. We do not and never have charged $400 to check out a vehicle. Im sure this is a misunderstanding.
As for repairs and new issues, it has been since September and the new issues are are not caused by what we repaired.Customer Answer

I took my 2003 Ford Taurus to dart automotive for a heater core replacement. The car came out running worse than when it went in. First they charged me $700 for a heater core that was clogged. They said they replaced it but it is still clogged.
This can't be right. I told them that the car is still having the same trouble. I'm out $700 for the service and now I'm out another 450 to the dealer and it still has to have another heater core put in.
The owner, ****, is shady at best, he said I could operate with a fluctuating temperature, and acted like it s no big deal.
Also $150 in Uber rides. So I'm out $1400 dollar s on a job that was never done. And he does this to everyone. And if your dumb enough to take it back he ll make it even worse. Or even destroy your car. He should be put out of business period.
I never asked for this trouble. And it seem s to be a shady automotive shop. Especially the owner ****. And also the wiring in the car was rewired for the vent fan to come on with the heater. So I have more money to repair that. All the wiring has to be gone through to make sure he didn't t do anything else shady.
He is telling me to bring the car back, but I am hesitant to do that.

I took one of my work trucks to be repaired at this shop almost two months ago. I was charged over 5000.00 to fix the problems with my truck I picked it up once and had to return it because it wasn't running right after another few weeks sitting in there location (waiting on a part from the next solar system) they told me to come pick it up. I drove all the way there to get it and it had no change it ran terrible. I've been told over the phone by the rude person that answered the phone that He would let me know. this is a work truck and I'm loosing a lot of money ever day that it isn't working. I've been patient and payed a lot of money to fix my truck and still have not heard anything. Id like a refund of the money i payed so i can take it to a shop that will fix it with priority.Business Response

I originally took my car into DART auto to have a transmission leak fixed on my car in June. When I got my car back the Transmission was still leaking after they charged me to have transmission pan sealed. contacted DART they told me to drop off the car again on 7/5/22. Same thing they tesealed transmission pan car was still leakinh transmission fluid. They told me to drop off car again on 7/7/22 they put a used transmission pan on the car and it is still leaking. They provided a loaner car that time fue to me having to pay for uber to get around because it is my only vehicle. Now every time I call about the transmission leak I get a run around that it will be 5 weeks until a loaner car is free. I want my transmission leak repaired. 4 times 4 times I have to take it back to them to fix. Now just getting the run around. It is now August.Business Response

A lot has happened since this complaint was filed. First, it has to be known we do not provide loaner cars, however, in this case, the owner had an one of his extra there that day and offered it to the customer. That does not mean that it will always be there. The customer called DART on Monday and told us he had filed a complaint with BBB and all he wanted was a loaner car and his leak fixed. We explained there was no loaner and offered him a refund which he said that was fine. We overpaid him on the refund so when we contacted him yesterday about getting the extra money back he said he would give all the money back if DART could fix his leak on his vehicle. He understands there will be no loaner car and has made an appointment to get the leak fixed.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The person that I talked to when they contacted me about accessing my debit card to fix their blunder that I kindley and trustworthy let them access my debit card to give back the $1182.50. The person on the phone stated that they would contact me when a loaner car is available so I can bring my car back in to get the transmission pan re-sealed again. I was very nice enough to give the business back their $1182.50 refund blunder I could have walked away and said screw them and run off with the money. I am hoping that the business respects me the same by fixing the transmission pan leak. They need to understand that this is my only car and every time I have to bring it in to them "This will be the 4th time" that I have to spend money on Uber to get around. I know the business knows about loss of money because they were very concerned about getting their $1182.50 back that I hope they respect my wallet the same.
