We have paid for the building materials for a pole barn back on July 7th of 2021. We are still waiting for the delivery of the metal for the roof and lower part of the barn as you can see in the photo. We contacted Graber back in September asking when it would be delivered as we were told when we signed the contract that it would be 4-6 weeks after payment. They told us that all the materials were at their warehouse and the hold up was on be contractor building it. This project was supposed to be completed months ago and they have not been honest about where the rest of our metal is. Every time we call them they screen our calls or lie. We were told that the rest of the metal would be delivered October 10th, then when it didn’t arrive the 14th. We had called on the 13th and they said it would be delivered today and it still hasn’t been delivered and no one has contacted us. They have received our full amount of $39,453. At this point this project is way behind schedule and we won’t be able to complete the concrete this year due to the temperature. Originally this was supposed to be completed the end of September. We have lost our on thousands of dollars due to having to reschedule concert and electrical work.

The customer purchased the 40x60x14 pole building materials package on July 11, 2022, and was scheduled for delivery in later September, depending on weather and when the builder was ready. Unfortunately there was a delay on the Shiny Black Metal Materials due to a fire at the pigment manufacturer, we explained this to the customer via phone.

There was a shortage of Black Paint nationally,  Fortunately that was all resolved,  This metal has been delivered on October 19, 2022 according to Graber past Buildings from Montgomery IN . and was installed

See terms on contract: Paragraph 4, Line c) Materials delivery, project start and completion dates are subject to availability of items on this estimate and subsequent invoice and are subject to change due to weather conditions, mechanical and equipment availability and conditions, and any and all unforeseen circumstances that could affect the same.

We ask that the customer pays the builder in full immediately.

We apologize for any inconveniences we may have caused.

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I paid Graber $2000 for architectural drawings on 4/26/22 that had to be done before ordering materials for my shop. Atleast they said the drawings had to be done before ordering materials. I was also informed by Jerome at Graber that the architectural drawings would take 1 week, 2 weeks tops to finish. Obviously by the dates it took 2 months for the drawings to get done. If I would have known that the architectural drawings would take that long I would have went with another company but I was informed it was not there concern. My problem I have is when we started this conversation they told me 100% that my building would be built in time for my wedding in mid July. I can provide emails that they never responded to and phone records of them screening my calls and or saying they will call me back that day but never called back. I had to physically drive to there place of business which is over an hour away from my home and is very difficult to do when you have a new born child just to get a hold of them that way they could not screen my calls and would have to answer my questions right then and there. I unfortunately had to pay a rental company over $2000 to rent a 40x60 party tent to hold my wedding in July. I asked if they could possibly take that $2000 of my bill but told me sorry not our problem. Once I was finally aware that the architectural drawings were done I went and paid and picked those papers up from the county and went in asap to buy materials, which obviously was done right during my wedding week. Also my problem is that they knew the shinny black metal was on back order but did not tell me that it was, which I would have just changed colors to something in stock so I can have my building done. The contractor and myself were both wondering why all the materials were not at the site. I was told by Graber that everything was on track and would be there the day before the contractors started. Apparently that was not true either. I will never use this company ever again after the run around, lies and no communication on their part.

    Regards,
