After Airways Heating & Cooling replaced my furnace around January 2023, I noticed water accumulating on top of the unit, inside the furnace, and on the floor, accompanied by a musty odor. When I initially requested a fix, the owner resisted, claiming the issue was due to a clogged condensate drain pipe. I informed him the pipe was clear, but he was reluctant to act. When he eventually came out, he addressed the water pooling on top of the furnace by applying putty and sealant, then attempted to charge me for the work. When I turned on the furnace in the Fall of 2024, water reappeared on the floor around the unit. I contacted the company again, and a technician was sent out. After working on the furnace for a few minutes, the technician asked to use my bathroom. Shortly afterward, my daughter and I heard unusual noises, including thumping and the movement of something heavy, followed by a toilet flush. When the technician returned to the basement, he stood on a bucket, moved the ductwork, and started taking pictures. When I asked what he was doing, he claimed the toilet was leaking. I explained this was unlikely, as the toilet and ring had been recently replaced. He insisted it was wet, despite the area only showing old rust stains prior to his arrival. After this distraction, the technician returned to the furnace, removed and reassembled some components, and determined the water issue was caused by a problem with the inducer. He stated that if the issue persisted, a replacement part would be needed. After his visit and running the furnace, I noticed a strong sewer smell that had never been an issue before. It appears the technician tampered with the toilet and ductwork, which may have caused this additional problem. From installation to now, I have experienced continuous issues with both the furnace and the companys service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Airways Heating & Cooling.
