There have been multiple mix ups and mishandling of a dna test that we ordered. It was submitted from the Any Lab Test Now in ********** **********. The DDC erroneously assigned 2 separate cases , one for my son's dna sample and another 1 for his deceased father's dna sample that was submitted by the *** ****** county coroner's office. This error was not caught until myself who ordered the test, and the lab the test was submitted through contacted the DDC due to the delay and no information being sent to us. The DDC was supposed to have merged the 2 cases it says and we were supposed to have had our result by July 12th 2022. It it wasn't until today July 14th 2022 that I contacted the lab here called any lab tests now in ********** ********** and the technician then contacted of the DDC. The DDC then told the lab technician that they were unable to locate the copy of my son's ID which had already been submitted by the lab to the DDC as verification of my son's identity. The DDC then did some checking a found the ID and were supposed to forward it to the DDC lab so that they could complete our testing case. At no time has the DDC contacted the lab about any of the issues involved or claimed missing items of information. We had to contact them on all of this. All names, birthdayes, SSNs were submitted upon testing . I will submit screenshots of the discussions and screenshots of the case numbers as well as screenshots of case sensitive information. We required this test due to a probate case, and potential filing of fraud charges against my sons extended family members whom have fraudulently authorized transport of my sons fathers body to a funeral home with full knowledge that my son was legal next of kin, and funeral home who accepted it and have ignored legal documents stating my sons appointment as executor of his fathers estate and affairs.

Ordered a siblings test on 04/26, was sent and received on 04/28. We both did the test and was sent back same day. Got an email saying samples were received on 05/02 and results would be available on 05/09. We have been anxious since waiting in results, only for me to receive an email on 05/09 that they need additional time and that I will have results on 05/10 by 7pm (which is kind of sketchy, why are you guys sending results so late in the evening?) okay fine, one more day won’t hurt I guess. Customer service was nice enough, but I received ANOTHER email TODAY, 05/10, that they still need more time and I won’t have my results until 05/11. This is unacceptable, we are anxious for these results, you shouldn’t tell people that results are in at 5 days if that’s not the case. One extra day I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt but now I’m starting to think this is a scam.

      Hello,

We do apologize for the delay.  Additional testing was needed in order to meet the standards for issuance of results, which unfortunately did require additional time.  DDC does process samples and provide alerts throughout the day and into the evening and it is not uncommon to receive an alert of delay after out customer service lines are closed.  We do understand the sensitive nature and timing while awaiting results.  Results were released on the revised due date.

I contacted DDC to get a test and was offered the test for $1400. I agreed to get it because the representative told me that I would receive the DNA and gender results within 3 days after the lab received our samples. Both myself and the father had samples collected on 5/3/22, BOTH of our samples arrived on 5/4/22 (I got the fedex shipping information to ensure when they arrived) I also had to pay an additional $50 for the lab to collect my blood and ship it, which should have been included in the $1400 price, DDC emailed me on 5/5/22 that they confirmed the lab had the samples and the test wouldn’t be ready until 5/16/22. I responded to this email and told them that I was told it would be 3 days, which seems to be a common issue, they responded and said it wouldn’t. I reiterated that they had told me that it would be and by law were required to adhere to their promises otherwise they were falsely advertising- which is illegal. They told me they would ask management and get back to me- of course, they didn’t. Today is day three, 5/6/22. Should I not receive my full results with the DNA and gender on Monday morning by 8am MST, I will be taking further steps to rectify this situation, which may or may not include legal action. My expectation is that my results be provided immediately as the service i paid for was ensured and even their website says it will be received within 3 days. I was also 9 weeks pregnant when the test was taken, therefore should have no reason to retest, nor should I not be able to know the gender as they should be able to tell that by 6 weeks.

      Hello,

There are some instances where we are not able to perform testing as requested.  The customer was contacted on 5/10/22 and a full refund was issued on 5/11/22.

      ****** ******** *******

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

They refused to run the test because I was raped. They also told me that a large portion of people don’t have enough DNA in their blood to preform the test until 16 weeks and even up to 36 weeks. Honestly, this place is a nightmare, I was honest about being raped on my first phone call, it seems like it is inappropriate to refuse services due to me being a victim of rape- super sketchy and questionable
