  I had masonry work done which involved replacing about 12 bricks along with some regrouping. I was extremely happy with the quality of the work. These bricks are on the front of my house so the appearance is very important. The mason, Joe, is excellent. Also had some dry wall repairs and it was a nice neat job. I had one complaint about damage to the lawn but they took care of it immediately and left everything very neat. Highly recommend this company.

  Hired to replace my existing plaster ceilings with drywall, replace the old blown insulation in the attic with batt insulation, install a new ceiling fan including wiring, and rewire an existing ceiling fan. Juan and his guys are efficient and professional. They always showed up in the estimated time frame. They cleaned up the work area every day before they left and cleaned up at the end of the project. Extremely pleased with the finished work. Jason, the owner, is very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls. Kitchen ceiling was cracked and falling the day after the estimate and I called Jason and he sent Juan out within an hour or so to brace the ceiling to keep it from falling. This was before I had even signed a contract. He had absolutely no obligation to do that, but I extremely appreciate it. It saved me a mess and damage to deal with. Would absolutely hire them again in the future and highly recommend them.

  We have been working with Friedman Home Improvements since May and initial meeting with ***** and ***** went well-***** very easy to work with! Down payment was secured in July and it has been miscommunication, poor workmanship, redone work, and delays since beginning. We had our back patio ripped out and re-poured and an extension to widen our driveway but the concrete sat in our backyard(we have 4 little kids) for an excessive amount of time. The crew got the wrong permit and ripped out our existing driveway instead of framing the extension. Many cracks that have to be repaired. Interior work started and, again, not completing per walk through. Electrical outlets relocated incorrectly which left open holes in walls. Light switches installed next to the current switches that were suppose to be re-wired. Drywall install that is suppose to be left ‘paint ready’ but I’m using my home vacuum to clean up the drywall dust all over. Back of our home wa unsecured when replacing a window with a door-we had to contact manager by text and then by phone to finally get a response at 9pm. Our children were scared. Venting was not completed in the new drywall. Manager had to be notified by us for every mistake or problem. We hired a company to do things we just didn’t have time to do ourselves and found ourselves reviewing and catching mistakes. Why are we paying a premium price for a company with owner, manager, GC if we are putting in the work and catching mistakes. They want us to pay additional $ for concrete work the city was requiring after the company had to go back for a revised permit. We feel like we are putting a lot of work in to do the job we thought we were paying for. Most of our home improvements have been completed by us and using a company to get big projects done so we don’t have to worry and yet here we are putting in work, double checking everything, correcting, using a translator app to speak to the work crew, and cleaning up to get our house back to a home.

  Friedman Home Improvements and Masonry LLC done their thing!!! Barry Copeland sent Javier, Noel, Manuel, and Daniel to do my job who are my Angels!!! Javier Project Manager is a “Perfectionist” and will not move on until he is satisfied!!! They installed a Pantry Wall in my house which now looks like another room! They will not leave until your project area is clean; I would recommend them for future projects!!! Great Job!!! Thank you Barry for responding to my submission on Angie’s List!!!

  Friedman did a good job getting physical requirements for concrete work to replace driveway, walkway, and add patio pad. He did not follow Ohio law and call before you dig. I had to do that to make sure it was done. I also had to file for their permit to do the work. He did not listen to my communication requirements on scheduling so I could make sure I could have dogs out of house while work was being done so I can work from home without dogs barking. He made it clear through conversation commercial accounts were more important to him than residential accounts. He finally subcontracted without letting me know and scheduled them at a time I told him no work could be done. The subcontractors did do a good job. I notified Friedman and my lawyer that Friedman cannot use my property in any form of marketing including but not limited to verbal, written, or electronic types of communication.

  Friedman Home Improvements recently completed several repairs at our home in Beavercreek. The front door was refinished to remove the effects of weathering, wooden shutters were repaired and re-installed in the study, drapery rods were installed in the dining room, and a front yard light was replaced. The work was done professionally and within budget. When quality of work is important and attention to detail is needed, we recommend Friedman Home Improvements.

  I hired Friedman Home Improvement to renovate a 50+ year old room attached to my garage, converting the space into a 3 season patio living space. Throughout the entire process, Barry (project mgr) was communicative, fair, a good-listener and responsive to my needs, both in the aesthetic design I was trying to achieve and in understanding of my budget goals. Once on the job, I was amazed at not only the reliability of the crew, but how punctual, hard-working and neat they were throughout the entire demo/reno process (Javiar and Juan are fantastic). Interestingly, we did run into some material reliability issues post-winter that needed to be addressed. Barry and his team recognized the mistake on material selection (a wood species not ideal for outdoor use), and immediately listened to my complaint, and responded quickly with an action plan to correct the problem. The end result is I now have a porch/patio that is stunning, and will add tremendous value to my Oakwood home. I fully plan on rehiring Friedman (and Barry's team) again for a bathroom remodel and highly recommend this company for their experience, professionalism and value (for the quality of work they performed)!

  I had the best experience with Friedman Home Improvement starting with Project Manager Barry Copeland. He provided ideas, resources, and great customer service for my kitchen and closet renovations. The crew, led by Juan, did such a great job on the kitchen, I requested them for my closet renovations. And the team at Home Depot...Nancy and Kim...stellar! I have found my forever contractor.

  I cannot say enough good things about Friedman Home Improvements. What started out as a small project to repair two areas of ceiling drywall ended up becoming a major house overhaul after discussing the possibilities with Jason (Friedman). There was no pressure just some open discussion about how to renovate our 50 year old home to meet our needs. We adopted many of his suggestions and he accommodated many of our own in drawing up a proposal that we were happy with. The work team arrived promptly every day and each member of the crew did exceptional and high quality work. The work was completed faster than I had dared hope, with the only waiting periods being when we had to wait for the kitchen cabinets to be made to order and the counter tops to be made to order, neither of which pertained to Friedman Home Improvements. Friedman Home Improvements did an awesome job and I TOTALLY recommend them! I will DEFINITELY be using them for the rest of my remodeling needs.
