Here is a case report about the neglect of Abbington of Arlington Assisted Living: Due to care negligence in many aspects (discommunication with the caregiver and the doctors, overdoses of the med Abiraterone, no protection to prevent the contamination of Covid 19, no intervention methods to prevent the falling of the residents, etc), my husband ****** ****** fell on the bathroom floor in Abbington of Arlington Assisted Living in the morning of May 18, 2023. His right side of the body from head to eye, to hip were severely injured. In the same morning, he was sent to the ER of riverside hospital, and lived in the hospital for 5 days till May 23. Right now he is still staying in the rehab center of the *********** ** ******. He has shown many symptoms of concussion sequelae: dazed, headache, vomiting, sensitive to light (even dim), sensitive to noise (even low), fatigue, difficult to move around, memory further lost, his mentality has dramatically deteriorated, he even couldn’t figure out the result of 17+20. His independent capability has lost. Another worst thing is that he has trauma, he feels depressed, he doesn’t want to talk with his family, and doesn't want to see them. This unexpected accident was preventable, but it has happened due to negligence, and no prevention measures have been taken to protect the residents from falling. *** was not the first resident who fell in Abbington, but the owner **** never takes any accountability for the falling accidents.

We are sorry you feel this way but our staff met with you and discussed all issues. We are sorry your husband fell in his private bathroom. We are proud of the service we provide. Abbington nursing staff administer medications according to physician orders as received from his physician. Again, we are sorry that your husband had an accident in his private bathroom. We are thankful that our staff were able to attend to his needs and get him the proper medical care.
