      On or about February 27, 2024, Tackett Tree Service (AKA Liberty Tree Service) arriv** at our home to cut down one large tree, one small tree, grind down the two stumps, trim four other trees, and haul the debris away. We paid Tackett $4,400.00 for this service. We are disappoint** in the job they did and their refusal to call us back. Despite being alert** three times that an electrical wire was buri** in the yard for our dog's invisible fence, their crew cut the wire and disabl** the system. Okay, these things happen. Initially, they (Steve) assur** us they would repair the damage before leaving. But they didn't. When I saw them packing up to go, I went out and was told someone would call me about fixing the fence. Unfortunately, no one ever did. Second, deep ruts were left in both our yard and our neighbor's yard (ouch). I ask** the crew leader (Jay) if he had any suggestions on how I could fix them. A major task. He told me I didn't have to; they would take care of it. "We want you to be happy, my man," he said. However, they left without fixing the ruts, and we've heard nothing from them since. Lastly, the crew left a pile of debris in our yard (see pics). We made numerous follow-up calls to Bob Tackett to try and resolve the situation. He always said the same thing, he knew nothing about the problems but would call back or come by after he talk** to his crew. Unfortunately, we are yet to receive his call or visit. We spent $700.00 for a landscaping company to fill in the ruts before our neighbor complain**, rese** the dead grass, and haul away the debris Tackett left behind. Please see the attach** pictures showing the damage before and after the repairs. We spent an additional $44.27 repairing the damag** invisible dog fence. A total of $744.27. While we know things can go wrong, we don't understand the mess they left us and not returning our phone calls. **

      Yes, I did receive the refund from Tackett.  Thank you for your help.  I doubt things would have been settled without the help of the BBB.

      Date of transaction- November 15th 2021 Amount of money you paid the business- 2150.00 paid Nature of Dispute- Remove trees, stumps and roots. Did not remove all roots-will text pictures or email. Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem- No See Attached

      We have gone back and reground the stump.  Customer keeps digging up more roots and expecting us to come out and grind them, when it was made clear to the customer that we do not grind roots that are below the ground.  All the surface roots have been taken care of, as has the stump.

      Josh Tackett has never been back to regrind any stumps. The stumps and roots are same as pictures sent to you.

      Any reputable tree service grinds stumps and roots at least 4” below ground.  Some up to 6” – 8”
