Geek Tech Pro refused to refund me my $850 and has installed spyware on my computer. The technical support team has refused to provide me with the corporate email or phone number to resolve this issue. After an hour or so of dealing with them, they will eventually ask to get into my computer again, which I will never allow again and they also will ask for banking (or CC) information which I am confident that they are stealing this information. I have called 26 times in a matter of weeks and they will never respond to my calls or help in any way if I don't allow them access to my computer or if I don't give them financial information. ************ is the technical support number and they will transfer me to a refund team eventually but this is where they will not help you without getting computer access or financial information. Can someone please help me to get to the corporate office to get a resolution on how i can get a check sent back to me for the refund.

I am a 61-year-old man living on $861 dollars a month on Social Security, and I got a computer virus back in Feb. 2022 and my computer locked me out until I called a number in a small pop-up window that came up on the screen. I was to Geeks Tech Pro a company I mistakenly thought was part of Hewlitt Packard or Microsoft. They said they wanted $500 dollars for a 1 year program, or $750 dollars for a 3 year program or $1000 dollars for a 5 year program before they would fix my computer, I chose the $1000 dollar program and paid $1049.98 because I had to spread out the payment over 4 days to get the money. They fixed the issue, and I didn't hear anything from them until early Oct. 2022 and the rep said I had a "porn" site that had taken over my computer and was sending porn from my computer without me knowing it and my personal and banking info was at risk. They told me I had to pay them an additional $2000 for another 5-year program for then to fix the issue. For about 2 months they kept calling and I still couldn't afford it. So, I finally got "Norton" computer security and they fixed the problem. I called "Geeks Tech Pro" and spoke to a supervisor who said I only had a 3-year program, they already fixed the problem, and they didn't give refunds. They never fixed the problem; I have a 5-year program and they owe me about $850 dollars from what's left of the balance of my 5-year program. Geeks Tech Pro is a misleading scam company that is not a part of Hewlitt Packard, or Microsoft and I need help getting back the money from my unused balance, because as I said before I only draw about $861 dollars a month and so $850 dollars is a very very large amount of money for me. Thank You Very Much I Really Appreciate Your Help, ***** **** ********

When I purchased a HP printer from Best Buy last August I was having trouble right from the start. When I looked on like at HP, I was sent to this company for help. I ended up buying a year contract for $391.43!!! This was for an Envy printer that cost $175.19. The printer is totally broken and not fixable, according to Best Buy and the Geek Squad. There is a loose piece from a paper jam that must have broke it. Within a year I have a worthless printer and a worthless service. I thought, from their name, that they were part of the Geek Squad since I was reffered to them by HP. They are not, and Best Buy and the Geek Squad will not reimburse me for this worthless printer. I am complaining because it appears that they are part of the Geek Squad through Best Buy from their name. I am complaining beccause they have charged an incredible amount of money for a few online chats. This is a total scam and should be looked into. Thank you. **** ******

I was having trouble with my HP printer setup and went to the HP site online to resolve it. A live chat window appeared on the screen asking for my name and phone number so a technician could reach out to me and help resolve the problem. After sharing my screen and working on the printer problem, I was told that I had viruses though emails that I had opened and that the technician would help me out - which involved purchasing a 5 year malware protection plan for $439. I became suspicious when the technician asked me if I do online banking and pay for purchases online. He also said that using an American Express card for the Malware transaction would cost me 8% above the purchase price and asked for my computer password. By this time my mind was starting to panic, however, he did successfully complete the repair of my printer and when asked by me if he worked for HP, he hesitantly said yes. So, in good faith, I provided my credit card for the transaction and he sent me a contract through my printer that he said needed to be signed authorizing him to charge my credit card. I had been on the phone with him for several hours and during that time I began to feel faint from lack of food so I quickly finished signing the paperwork. After eating, I was less light-headed and read the contract which stated that the company was an independent and not part of HP. It also said that the amount for the purchase was not refundable if software had been installed. After researching them online I saw the company is a scam and contacted my credit card company to block the transaction but it had already gone through. When I looked into my malware account I saw that the terms were not for 5 years but rather for 1 year - overpaying by $350 for the service. I have since contacted **** **** *** which initiated the call with me to troubleshoot my printer issue to request a full refund within their 7 day window but have not heard back from them. I also canceled my credit card.
