So we had new way to do construction put siding on our house. We placed half down in December. We picked out our color we wanted. We were told they would be coming in march of 2024 to start the siding. We had them wait as we were going to add onto the house. Well those plans fell through. So we called them in April to schedule a day we never heard anything for weeks finally we heard back and said they would start at the end of May. But we had to go with a different shade due to not having the color we wanted cause it would take another 4 months to get that color. Mind you we paid for our supplies in December. As they were doing the job we had to have them redo the j channel around the windows as they didn’t cut them in a 45 degree angle. We also had them flip the seams on the front porch as the wind would have blown them off. The front of the house the seams are not flipped the proper way and the man in change on the job site said he wasn’t allowed to flip the panels per the owner of the company because he was the ones that made the final call and we would have to let him know when we did our final walk around when the job was finished. It took them 10 days to complete the job. They removed my light fixtures and camera, down spouts, fence panel to hang siding. When the job was complete they were told they couldn’t put those items back up as it wasn’t part of the contract. We were never told the job was complete they just packed up and left we never got a final walk around. They owner wife called and said would you like me to send the final bill. They left wrap showing and said they couldn’t do anything about it because the house wasn’t square and would quote me another bid for it to be fixed. I asked about the other issues like the siding being flipped so the seams were correct he said can’t fix that because he would have to buy more siding and start over. They broke my WiFi box in the process.

I am sorry to hear you had a complaint.  We were to start your siding job in March of 2024 as you stated.  Your husband **** ************ called and asked us not to start then because of some financial issues.  He asked to be put on the bottom of the schedule.  We did as he had asked.  The color of the siding was brought over and approved before the work was started.  The siding is installed so that it will not blow off with normal wind conditions, we actually use more nails than are required.  It is our policy that any changes are only made between homeowner and the business owner, the foreman cannot approve changes. We never had a call to change anything from you.  We did re-install the gate and down spout we had removed (I couldn't load pictures because of size).  The light was not re-hung because **** ************ wanted to buy a new one and said he would hang then.  Unfortunately, your house has serious foundation issues as discussed with you stepdad (who was paying for the siding) and **** during the bid.  Your house in bowing in the middle, and the walls are giving in.  We had to run the siding straight across.  **** stated it looked nice everyday he came home.  Many people have commented on how nice it looks!  It seems there may have been a communication problem between you and ****.  I do apologize you feel like you do.  I Wish you the best!

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

There were NEVER any financial issues!! You were paid half down to order  siding in December.  You didn't do that, because when it came time to side the house, the color we wanted was not in stock and would take an additional 4 months to receive that color.

The foreman on the job (which is ****'s father) called you, at our request and with us at the home, to make the necessary and correct changes to the job and was essentially screamed at, by you and that you were not doing any of these corrections as they were already done and you weren't changing them. If the siding was put on there for normal wind conditions, then why did it come off the very next day when it rained? As you stated, you used more nails than required.  We NEVER had  a final walk through with you on our property.  Your wife, Kimberly, even told **** that the job wasn't done correctly when he paid the final invoice!

The only communication problem is with YOU.  We should have NEVER paid the final invoice.  You should be ashamed of yourself and the company you run.   Taking peoples hard earned money and never completing or correcting your work.  The only thing you are sorry for is being called out on your shotty work practices.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ************

I contracted with New Way to do Construction on Feb. 20, 2024 to replace my sidewalks on my property. They started to work around Feb. 26, 27, 2024. To date they did not complete the job. I had to hire another company to finish the sidewalks and will also have to pay to have the yard repaired as they damaged property beyond what was necessary to complete the job.

I am sorry to hear that you are feel we did not treat your project within a timely manner.  Unfortunately, we live in **** and weather conditions in March through *** can be ever changing especially doing concrete work.  We worked everyday weather permitting on your project.  We had a lot of rain and even snow late this year.  As per the contract we broke out all the old concrete and flag stone - Hauled away.  Cut out roots and stumps - Hauled away.  We hauled away 2 dump trailers full of concrete and roots.  There was actually a lot more roots than anticipated.  We have formed the main sidewalk, brought in #** Limestone, tamped, had the city inspector come out before pouring (as per the city guidelines), pour the sidewalk, broomed finished, and removed the forms.  We had dug out and begone forming the remaining sidewalk, had #** Limestone there for base.  Only thing we had left to complete was the concrete pour. We were 80% done with your project at this time.  You had given us the 50% down as requested with signed bid.  With 80% of work completed you would still owe a balance of $1,649.91.  Again, I Apologize for whatever reasons you feel lead to this point.  I do wish you would have reached out to me sooner so this could have been resolved in a more expectable manner for everyone.  Communication is the key to all solutions.  I want to do my best to resolve this fairly and compassionately:  I am willing to write off the rest of bill due and hope you enjoy your new concrete sidewalk; it looks beautiful.

    Best Regards

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not satisfied with the answers provided. They did not work every day weather permitted as stated,  the job was tore up for 3 months. My neighbors would all testify to them going days and not showing up. As far as the roots being dug out that was completed as said. As far as reaching out sooner, communication is the key. How many times did I try to reach out when I realized we had major problems? You chose to ignore my calls, texts I even sent pictures because you did not show back up to check their work. The last part of the job ( was not 80% complete) was to be a curved horseshoe sidewalk they were using straight boards and took it upon themselves the day before the pour to give me a triangle or pyramid instead. I sent pictures, tried to call and text still ignored. As far as writing off the remainder of what I owed that wasnt even the correct amount, it was a lie I fired New Way and had to hire another company to do it correctly. They had it formed and poured in 3 hours compared to the 3 months your crew had it tore up. You chose to ignore me for awhile before I fired your company. Maybe you need to take your own advice about communication.
    Sincerely,
