***** ***** ****** (owner of Rivers to Reefs) bc of discounted price to built a pheasant enclosure last summer. After many months of postmonments, ***** hired juveniles who threw quickly prefabricated parts together (I respect his severe disability, which I have also but to be in construction business we should NOT) and 80% completed after 6 months instead of 4-6 weeks as promised. **** ** ** ********* ** *** **** *** ** ******* *** ******** This business remains at A+ rating and ***** lied about delivering the last door that was promised, not speaking of completing any of the other unfinished items. I'm writing this review bc I strongly believe (from ******* comments regarding all of his unfinished projects) that other customers have been put in a similar position to mine. Just wanted to express a firm warning to others.

Got an aquatic frog and two guppies from Rivers to Reefs. Called last week and said after purchasing these, all fish were dead/dying in our tank; I asked the worker on the phone if they had any diseases there at the store with guppies/frogs and he said no immediately and recommended me PraziPro. We treated our tank with PraziPro (does not treat ich)... Called again yesterday as fish still sick and dying and a different worker confirmed the batch of guppies we purchased had ich at the store. This worker said they were treating for ich there and recommended ich-x medicine--apologized for the worker last week not telling me the source was ich from the store. However, this worker said *they are still selling that batch of guppies* while treating for ich. Unbelievable. Way to sell fish to infect other people's tanks. Go to ******** ********* in Hilliard to see how clean it is there versus how dirty Rivers to Reefs is--you will never shop at Rivers to Reefs again after. I want to support a smaller, local business like Rivers to Reefs, but they are literally selling fish with ich, they are not forthright about it, the tanks there need a serious overhaul in how they are maintained, and they are squeezing in so many tanks with visibly poor conditions when I have gone. I will not buy from Rivers to Reefs ever again. My kids are heartbroken about how many fish we have lost; I foolishly trusted this store and the first worker on the phone.

Hi Kristen, I'm sorry about that. For the record, we absolutely do not knowingly sell fish that are diseased. Occasionally a shipment comes in looking fine, only to break out a few days later due to the stress of handling, etc. Sometimes a few of those fish are sold before disease is apparent- not intentionally, simply because it hasn't been seen yet. Once an issue comes up, we take the entire tank off sale and treat the animals for as long as necessary. Unlike the big stores in town, every FW tank is individual, so disease in one tank can not spread to any other. Also unlike some of the big stores, we DO medicate until the animals are healthy again. An employee would never recommend Prazi for an external protozoal infection unless the description of symptoms given to us was inaccurate, or there was some kind of confusion. If there was miscommunication somehow, I apologize for that. However, we absolutely do not sell fish that are under treatment, and I am absolutely confident no employee would ever say otherwise. That's totally nonsensical. Despite inevitable surprises that sometimes come up when dealing with wild animals, we go to great lengths to give our animals the best care possible, and bend over backwards to ensure they go to proper homes.
