  I wanted to share my experiences with Pro-Cars so that others can avoid the unprofessional and misleading business practiced that I had to deal with. It started when my college-aged daughter had an accident on 315 rendering the car undriveable. The Columbus Police Officer called Pro-Cars for a tow and stated to my daughter that there would be "no out of pocket expense". The receipt from the tow truck driver clearly spelled out charges for the tow and storage at Pro-Cars facility (after the car was loaded on the truck). It took the rest of the weekend for me to coordinate disposition of the car with my insurance company. I finally got down to Pro-Cars lot on Tuesday after 4 days of the car being in the lot. When I went to get my car out of the lot, I was presented with a bill for over $377 that included almost $100 worth of charges for Notification Fees and BMV Search, which had nothing to do with our situation since the registration and Insurance cards were in the vehicle. When I got home later that week I received two certified letters stating that my vehicle had been in their lot for over 15 days and that if I did not come claim the vehicle they would file for a salvage title to take ownership. Looking at the date of the accident and the invoice I paid, my vehicle had clearly not been in their lot for 15 days. This is an attempt at intimidation and not a good business practice.

  Lowest of the low here. My car got towed from the spot that I've been parking in for months right by my apartment. They broke 4 laws according to the Ohio Revised Code and towed my car for practically no reason with other cars surrounding mine that they said were towed when they obviously weren't because they were sitting right by mine long after mine was towed. They told me that a sign said that I can't park there but no such sign exists, I should know, I live right there and I looked around for it after I got my car back. That is one law broken. They charged me a storage fee which is against the law before 5 business days of storing my car. Legally, they were supposed to give me a letter explaining what to do if I was wrongfully towed (which I was) but that was never given to me so another strike against the law. They are also 2 miles from the nearest COTA bus station, also against the law to not be within a reasonable distance from public transportation, so if your car was towed there, you can't use public transportation to get there. I don't have much money and I had to sacrifice feeding myself to get my car because they towed it illegally. Horrid people, horrid business. Never go here.
